This book was exactly as represented in its description. It filled my requirements in several ways by offering simple instructions that can be adapted to most any fabric and situation. These instructions can be understood and followed by anyone who has modest experience with needle, thread and machine. No fancy equipment required, just the ordinary accoutrements found in any sewing cabinet. Not having constructed anything of this sort in 40 years, I needed encouraged that I could remember all the steps required before cutting into my expensive fabric. Like the carpenter said, "Measure twice, cut once." This book allows me to do that with confidence. It actually pushed me to do something more sophisticated than I first intended. It has my highest recommendation.

The book provides good information, and pictures that can inspire. However, not being at all a seamstress, I still felt intimidated by the process of making my own. Perhaps down the road it will be more applicable to what I am doing. Would recommend if you are not a complete novice.

This book is more than I had hoped it would be. It's fantastic. The directions (with measurement info) are such a big help. Finally a way to decorate your windows economically and easily too. Anyone can follow this book since it is really a step by step book with a lot of photos.

Spiral binding is already coming apart and I have only read it maybe 3 or 4 times.

This book is so inspiring and guides you step-by-step in making window dressings.Whilst working with both the sewing machine and book, the spiral binding prevents the book from closing shut the makes it so practical and well designed.I now have gained confidence in making window dressings and especially curtains. I thoroughly recommend it to anyone who wants to make window dressings.
