How recently are these beans roasted?

Hi David - If you purchase through Prime this will be fulfilled via Amazon warehouse so would usually have a roast date of 3 to 5 weeks but this really depends on warehouse stock levels. If you hit the buy button from bottom right hand side under 'Other Sellers On Amazon' this will be fulfilled direct from the roastery where it will be roasted and despatched on the same day. I hope that helps.

Is this sutible for Carafe's?

If the drip coffee maker for your carafe uses filter paper it should be fine, but you may want to look specifically for medium grind or grind your own coffee if you want it a little stronger. It's suitable for cafetieres so it would be a more coarser grind than some might have, so it wouldn't let as much of the flavour out in a drip coffee maker. Mind you, that's only a slight difference so it may not matter to you, and I do see a lot of supermarket brands with coarse grind recommended for cafetiere, filter machine and moka pot.

Does your coffee have a "roasted on" date on the packet?

Thank you for your query. Yes, you will find a batch label on the bottom of the coffee bag which will show the roast date, best before date and the batch number.

No - beans. Not ground at all. I think they do ground coffee as well. It is very good.

Freshly roasted and strong!

This a coffee for those of you who like it bitter and strong and packing a punch. It's perfect for waking me up in the morning. The package arrived with a roast-date of the day before so it really doesn't get much fresher. I could rave about Rave but I'll keep it short: they make great coffee. The grind size was exactly what I wanted for a cafetiere. If you can't get your own grinder, know that Rave grind just right. An excellent blend for those of us who need a little kick in the morning.

For lovers of strong-tasting coffee!

If you like strong coffee then you really have to try this one! I've had a real problem finding strong-tasting coffee in the UK that isn't bitter and I'm happy to report that this is it. If made properly in the AeroPress (a learning curve for me, but I succeeded), it yields a rich, smooth flavour with zero bitterness. So good!
