Touch screen works great
Works great with my pi 4, using the ribbon. Bolts up with the riser nuts. It doesn’t fit any raspberry pi touch screen case out there though. The touch screen cases that don’t have screens, all are for the official pi touch screen. Which is not this screen. The bolts on the back? And the thickness of the screen with the control board are in no way compatible to the other touch screen cases. So be ready to make your own case with this screen. Or skip buying just the screen, and get the screen case combo that’s all in 1 and more than I wanted to spend initially. But wish I had just done at this point. It’s still an awesome screen, and the little stand works fine it comes with, on a desk. I need my setup to be a bit more mobile, and protected. So I need to do more on my project than anticipated. But nothing a 3D printer, and some creativity can’t fix.

Works well!
Easy to install even for this klutz. Works well. I meant to order a slightly higher resolution and was a little disappointed when this arrived, but it works so well and is such a great price, I don't care. Works with the regular RPi power supply. No additional juice required.

Replacement had everything you need
Product came with just the 7” display. No hardware or any cables at all, not even anything else as far as instruction sheet. Once I find one of the cables to hook it up, and some mounting hardware to install my RPi on it, I’ll find out if the display actually works, and I’ll add the results of how that turns out. I received a replacement from Amazon, that had the cables and hardware, in package. So I have changed my Rating to 5 star. The display is very easy to use, with RPI, and functions great. Hopefully the missing parts was just on the one I got first, and not others. Price for this display, and results when you use it, are worth the gamble. This is worth 5 stars FOR SURE.

Nice display for quick-and-easy.
Nice display, sharp image, easy install. Cables and mounting hardware included. Display does work fine with NVMe SSD on Raspberry Pi 5, with a little "juggling" - I used 2 screws to fasten rPi to the display and 2 to fasten NVMe standoffs to rPi. Screw closest to the Pogo pins MUST fasten rPi to the display for a good connection. Use the other diagonal mounting hole to hold the rPi to the display, and the other 2 rPi mounting holes (also diagonal) to hold the NVMe board. It makes a great full-featured "tiny" computer. Touch display will provide virtual keyboard, or I just use a wireless kbd and mouse for ease. Quick things, just touch the screen.

8 hours later and Kali Linux works
It does in fact run kali but you have to modify files and update some thing’s if you want the startx command to work The 1 star is for: 1. The misleading advertisement that Kali Linux works on it out the box 2. The instructions that come with it lead you to their website and are for a raspberry pi 4 so the screen display cable is going to be different and it matters which display port you use on the raspberry pi 5 3. The feet are brown and black not completely black as shown 4. It’s not a screen used commonly on the raspberry pi from what I could find so using AI to troubleshoot it is going to be a headache (it’s literally just 2 updates and adding nomodeset to the cmdline.text file nothing else)

Flexible setup and a great display
This 7-inch screen works great and has a really clear picture. One of the best things about it is the mounting flexibility—you can either mount the board directly to the back or keep it separate as a standalone unit. I’ve only used it with my Raspberry Pi so far, but I’m pretty sure it would work with other setups too. Overall, it's a solid screen with good options for different projects.

Great choice
Bought this for my Raspberry Pi 3B+. The screen is back-fed power directly from the Pi, which is very convenient. Despite its size, the text is perfectly readable. The touchscreen works well, though it's much easier to navigate with a stylus. My only issue is the mounting: I haven't found a suitable case yet, so the Pi remains exposed. Also, I might have misaligned something during assembly, but one of the USB ports is now blocked and unusable. Still a decent display for the price.

A win
Learning curve for this cave woman to attach and fire up with pi 5 was minimal. Like one hour worth of cussing at most about codes. And that’s because I know NOTHING and am learning by doing :) So definite pi 5 compatible- great picture quality, lots of ribbon cords included (thankyou) for the price that it is- and overall build quality is there. Again I’m a cavewoman doing tech- and it’s working. This company must make sturdy tech- I haven’t broken a single thing yet lol Also- color quality is pretty vivid. Like better than I thought lol ignore MY quality photo and ragged edge build… screen is dope
