Active Minds Image Snap - Association Game with 36 Cards | Specialist Games & Activities for Dementia / Alzheimer’s

Color me surprised that my presently parent enjoyed this activity so much. This is so easy to use but you do need your own paint brush and a small jar of water. With each brushstroke, the image is revealed and after it dries, the image fades back to a white canvas. This is reusable over and over again. One weekend my parent was ‘painting’ with this and another weekend, a 5 year old neighbor played with this. It’s a great pastime for an elderly person with memory issues. They don’t realize that they are not actually painting the image. Offers fascinating insights as a caregiver. I highly recommend these and have since purchased a few more.

I usually LOVE their products. But I found the artwork on the cards to be confusing or atypical items that a regular fella would have no idea what it is... it’s caused confusion to my clients- so I only use about half the cards because my clients can’t figure out what some of the food pictures and transport pictures are supposed to be. I’m going to wind up making my own cars with pictures so we can properly play the game. However, the quality of the cards is VERY NICE. I hate to put anything negative because this company is FANTASTIC. Hopefully they choose better, more universal card photos next time. I can’t really use them as they are.

This product was better than expected. My mother in law has Alzheimer's and doesn't do many activities anymore. She spent half an hour painting with me this weekend. It was nice to have something that was not too challenging and not at messy. And the fact that they can be used over and over is plus. I guess my only suggestion would be to add a few paintbrushes to make it complete. I had some on hand but it would make it more convenient for those that don't. Great product!!

Active Minds Image Snap seemed a perfect donation to the adult day care program where my husband attends. Trained staff provide engaging activities, snacks and lunch, and personal care. The socialization and interesting games and activities are so important for my husband who has dementia. But he gets bored easily, therefore, I donated the card game to the program and the staff will use them in inventive ways to keep the games fresh. Other such donations would be appreciated very much. Really nice product! Excellent mind exercise for people With dementia.

I am an Occupationa Therapist who works with seniorsI purchased item for low vision seniors who have mild-moderate dementia. Items on cards are ambiguous. For example, it was hard to distinguish some food items. The pictures on the cards are not photos. They are low resolution images that look like they were taken from Internet images.I appreciate the different categories (food, transportation, etc.) I like that at least 2 different level of difficulty games can be played.Would not recommend item with seniors who need 3x or greater magnification or those who become agitated when frustrated.

The cards are very well constructed and have very clear drawings. I like that the cards can be used for several types of games.

I bought this for my 9 yr old Grandaughter, for Christmas,she will be so tickled, she’s into dress design for Barbie doll

Residents like them but over-priced. A couple of uses and they do show some water mark stains. Let them dry completely before putting them back in their folder. Wish the pictures were a little more detailed rather than one big picture of an item.
