Before these sunglasses, I just wore regular sunglasses. With regular shades, I pretty much just accepted that my eyes would dry out. BUT on one particular day, something got into my right eye. My eye got inflamed, and the white part of my eye was like jelly (not kidding). It took about 2-3 days for my eye to fully recover. I immediately started searching for better shades and got the Wiley X shades. These shades are awesome! They fit perfectly, and look better than my Oakley's (not kidding). The "gasket" around your eyes is phenomenal, and offers great protection. I liked them so much, I ordered another pair for back-up. The BEST investment I've made!

They come in a case with clear lenses as well as the smoke shade lenses. They can take a beating, I just my all the time everyday and I am not always nice to them. They look good, feel good, come with everything. The gasket for the inside is removable if you don't like or need it but easy and comfy if you leave it in. Great for tradesmen, law enforcement, military, shooters, or anyone who just wants to feel comfortable with a good set of shades that can deal with whatever you throw at them.

i bought these to be more stable on my face while riding my motorcycle. the gaskets do that very well. so far i have been riding it at speed with these and they stay put. not to mention with the shatter proof lenses, they will help protect your eyes.**update**when i go hiking i ride my motorcycle there. i wore these hiking yesterday and the sweat and glasses caused a signficant allergic reaction on my face around where the glasses touched my face and only there. one of my eyes swelled and i lost about 20% vision for a day. it took several days for the irritation to go away. there was nothing on these glasses. i only wore them when riding for maybe an hour at a time. about an hour into my hike the reaction started and by the end, it was unpleasant. i would no longer recommend these at all. i am not allergic to anything but these glasses wrecked my face for several days because i mistakenly wore them hiking.**update**after consulting a doctor, that was something else. crazy how it presented but it indeed was. it completely freaked me out and was hard to get my head around but these did not cause the issue and they do work great motorcycling.

I've used this on locations you wouldn't believe, professionally. Always held up. Protected against sand, snow and sea foam. The problem is the gasket's life - it lasted me through a year of impossibly rough usage, and now the gasket is useless. I've had to buy another expensive one. I wish they would just sell the self-adhesive foam part of the gasket for $5 or so, then it would be a perfect product. Instead I'm shelling $40 for a new one plus with shipping.

I have owned these before and they lasted 10 years before I scratched them through my own fault. Pair #2!! Awesome glasses and the foam sealer is awesome on a motorcycle!

I got these to ride my motorcycle. They work great at all speeds with a half helmet on. I decided to get a set of clear lenses to carry with me for when it gets dark outside, but they are a little bit of a pain to change out especially if you end up changing them daily. At the price they are offered here, I'd say buy a second pair with clear lenses. You can also use them for shooting sports, working in the shop or any time you need eye protection. Take the gasket out and you have a great pair of shades. Couldn't be happier.

I've worn these as RX safety glasses at work for a few years. The frames meet all the requirements demanded by my employer. They're unique, comfortable, and for the most part durable. The only thing I have issue with is the nose pads. They wear out over time and fall apart or off. But let me stress I wore them on 8-12 hour days, 5-7 days a week, for a couple years straight. Beyond the nose pads, which actually lasted much longer than other frames I've used, these frames held up quite well. Since the lenses are easily interchangeable, I just bought these again instead, and popped in my old RX lenses. It was much cheaper and efficient than going to the eye doctor, getting an updated exam, and waiting for them to craft the lenses and assemble them. This way was even cheaper than with my decent insurance. My RX hasn't changed the last few times I've gone, so I figure doing it this way will be safe enough for another year or two. I put the lenses that came with this pair into my nosepad-less old frames and will use them as sunglasses. They still have some life left in them. Win win.

Good lenses, no noticeable distortion, comfortable and lightweight if a bit snug (I do have an oversized dome, so this likely will not detract for most others). Only garrison and civilian use so far, will update review with their performance in the field later.
