SHRM CP Exam Prep 2025-2026: 7 Practice Tests and SHRM Study Guide: [5th Edition]

I paid $1500 for a prep course offered through my local chapter of SHRM and it paled in comparison to the value that this workbook and the practice tests gave me! I wish I would have simply bought THIS first! I'm not even kidding... yes. A $49 product (the bonus and online materials are amazing, too) gave me more value and prepared me more for the SHRM-CP exam than my $1500 course.

The language is easy to follow and doesn’t have complicated jargon. It cover a plethora of things that the SHRM-CP tests on but with that said, it is not exhaustive. You do need to supplement with something else as there are things on the test, that aren’t mentioned in this book. I used this book, plus the SHRM Bask, and did additional research on the topics on the Bask that were missing from the book. That was mostly done through Google and YouTube (channel: HR Exam Prep with Angela). Finally, I also used a SHRM prep app to help me with practice tests. Very useful to get acclimated with the style of the test. I passed my exam, yesterday. Good luck!

Currently using this to study for the exam

I only used this to study and went once through the book and passed. Information that was in the book is what was on the test. No surprises.I have been in HR for years and this was commonsense to me though. If you are starting out you should spend more time preparing.
