Worked just like we expected

Wish I would have ordered this sooner. It is very convenient to have a second remote on the other side of the bed.

Easy to install and works like a charm. Takes the work out of getting a stool to get to the fan's pull switches.

Worthless.

The media could not be loaded.  Bought this to replace a lost remote. Neither the advertisement header or and of the pictures give an indication that a receiver is also included and must be installed in order for the remote to work... So definitely not universal. Had to take apart the fan, install the included receiver in order to get the remote to work.... and after all of that, the remote does not dim the lights as the original remote did, which was a large part of why we chose the fan model we did. Now I have either zero light or a VERY bright light overhead light. Look elsewhere for a simple, universal, FUNCTIONAL replacement remote.

Installation was easy however the remote not working because of a faulty battery had me thinking I had installed incorrectly. Once installed, there are two things to note that I don’t like. One when you turn on the light with the wall switch, there is like a 2 second delay in the light coming on. Two, if you turn the light off with the remote, the only way to turn it back on is with the remote, so you cannot just turn the switch off then on and expect the light to come back on which is annoying at times.
