PetSafe Piddle Place Base Unit Porous Turf Indoor Dog Toilet without Cover

In theory this should work but it smelled funny and was cumbersome. It is hard to empty and feels unsanitary to handle.Too much trouble. I would not recommend.

I saw a few reviews of this Piddle Place that does not include a cover. The option without a cover is meant for people that hook a hose to the base, and don't pick it up and carry it around. This option is for doggy day care centers, breeders, shelters and any place with a kennel run. If you are a regular customer, purchase the option with the cover.I am a vet, and I work at a shelter. We use the Piddle Place here, as they donate them to shelters. We find that an indoor dog toilet allows people to adopt dogs that would otherwise have second thoughts. So many people bring their dogs to our shelter because of housebreaking issues, where if they took the time to research and work with their dog they would not abandon their pet. Some shelters don't have this option available for their kennels, so the dog is forced to lay in their own waste, and become stressed and less adoptable.Before you give up on your dog, It is up to you to work with your dog and find a way to communicate. All dogs are trainable, but it takes working with the dog. I have sent many customers to the Piddle Place call center, and they tell me the trainer always calls back and works with them. A patient recently told me they found a website called dogtoilettraining.com that had some great solutions as well.

VERY frustrated. My dog uses it as a place to lie down. I've done everything it said. When cleaning up urine I put the paper towel on top of the piddle place. I surrounded it by a baby yard (another $80). He sleeps on it and urinates/poops on the floor beside it. Might be a good idea if I had a brighter dog! So far have spent $600 for puppy, $145 for Piddle Place and accessories, $80 baby yard, and $400 for vet. I should have bought a stuffed dog!

System puts off fowl odor that can be smelled throughout the house. Company did not stand behind the 100 percent satisfaction guarantee when I notified them that I was unhappy stating sanitary concerns and the foul odor. Stay away from this company. There are similar systems for half the price throughout the internet.

I love this product. I have a teacup yorkie and while I was training her with the pipi pads, she would rip the pipi pad apart making a bigger mess in the house. Piddle place solved this dilema. The first day I set it up for my dog got on it and started sniffing it and did her pipis and stinkys whitout much command. love it. Its great bcuz i take it with me when I travel. It fit perfect inside my luggage case.

Best thing I have ever bought for my little pug.
