Simple, solid, functional
Very happy with this bin. Newly installed workstation sink with rollup drying rack, and bin goes under perfectly. With our sinktop cutting board, can directly push food trash into bin, so convenient! Solid construction and good sealing lid, no smell even if 2-3 days. Time will tell and hold up long term, and so far like this little thing.

Great size!
I always feel silly spending a ton on simple plastic bins. This bin has been great to help me compost more. The top seals well, the handle is easy to use, and the removable section makes emptying easy.

Works well
This works very well, small enough to fit on countertop or keep in your cabinet or large/deep drawer if you do not wish for this to be on display at all times. Definitely helps keep the smells out of rotting foods and is great for keeping all the scraps in one place instead of in your trash bins for everyone to smell at all times.

Slightly smaller than expected, but still what I was looking for
The lid fits snugly into the filter basket; it's not made to put on the bin itself so you do want to leave that basket in. (It will make getting the bag out easier, anyway.)The description states "1.3 gallon" but it looked a bit small I checked. Removed the basket, and using a 1-quart measure I filled it to the brim: 4 quarts & 1 pint, aka 9 pints, 18 cups - or 1.125 gallons. The bin is big enough to hold a good gallon of compostables, while being small enough to fit on the counter or under the sink without much fuss - even in the fridge during the hot summer. (Composting is great, but the process can be a bit whiffy in hot weather.)This does come with a roll of compost bags, and couple of charcoal filters that the product description says should be attached to the inside of the lid with double-sided tape. Be aware that the double-sided tape is not included.
