Excellent optics and size
Surprisingly good optics for the price and it's super compact. It goes on all of our trips now.

Get one while you can.
I like this item, the optics provide clarity, and I do not get much in the way of distortions along the edge as is so common with these kinds of monoculars. It feels like a high-quality item, although quite inexpensive which means that I can lose it on my foreign travels and not be too sad. I travel light and having something light, compact, and useful makes the travel experience that much more fulfilling.

Magnification is as stated. Clear Image.. Good Value
Great....purchased to watch stage plays. A true 8 power. I compared to other monocularS that I own. From the balcony could see pants were unzipped. Attached a neck lanyard for the safety of not dropping. Thinking may buy again as gift to theater going friends.

Waste of money ...
Does NOT really offer 8x20 magnification. I have had one of these type monoculars for over 35 years that actually does. I wanted one for another travel kit. This one is very cheap and does not meet the 8x claim. Wasn't even worth the time & effort to return.

Exactly What I Sought
I needed something that would let me see numbers that are about 3/4" tall and 20' up on the air at work . I tried a pirate looking glass (but much smaller in size) style and it works great at 50+ ' but I can't hold my hand still enough to read the numbers . At 20' it won't bring them into focus . I had one like this years ago and remember it working at distance and not so distant . This one works just like it . The only difference is it's black and not silver colored. The range of adjustment is huge , making it extremely versatile and perfect for what I was looking for . With its capability I can actually skip over a row to the next aisle over and still see the numbers . They're not as clean because I can't hold that still but I can still read then well though to know if it's what I'm looking for . It's very lightweight , which can be good or bad , depending on your capability to hold stable or not . The build quality is even better than my old one because I prefer black anyway . Back at the turn of the century silver colored was all I ever saw. The adjustment is very easy to twist and fine tune . The eye cup is soft and helps prevent light from bleeding in from the sides. The carry bag is a nice touch as well as the lanyard to help prevent drops . Just in case you do drop it there's a micro fiber cloth included that'll help clean the lens if ur gets dirty . I paid a LOT more for my old one so I call this a superb value .

Could be better
The prisms inside must have been aligned wrong. No matter how you look through it, the image isn't aligned quite right. The image is tilted.

Tiny, but effective.
Very small, but it works. Easy to carry in your pocket.

Decent Optics for the Price
This is one of 18 monoculars I bought recently to make a comparison video. And it's the only one of the group that uses the porro prism arrangement found in "classic" binoculars. (Which isn't important.) The build seems good. It's very light, thanks to being mostly metal construction. But I think it's best for light use. The optics are pretty good, though. It's sized for small hands. Or anyone nostalgic for the "spy scope" they saw advertised in comic books of the 1950s and 1960s.
