These guys give it...
For all the garbage, over-produced music in our great land, this band serves as a strong antidote. I'll never understand why they haven't realized mass appeal. Have a listen to this album, and their album Death of a Decade, for a boost of energy and layered complexity. Enjoy!

2004年Brian Robertsを中心にスプリングフィールドにて結成されたフォークロックバンドHa Ha Tonkaの5作目。 ドラムスにブルーグラス・パンクバンドHoots & HellmouthのMike Reillyが、前作「Lessons」にも参加していたちょいひねくれ系フォークポップバンドThe Spring StandardsのJames Cleareが新たにメンバー入り。 なので、今までとはけっこう異なる方向性。 クールでキラキラとしたカレッジロック、インディーフォーク、ポストパンクな感覚。 前作までのフォークロック、温かみあるマウンテンフォークミュージックな感触が好きだっただけにちょい残念。 しかしBrian Robertsを中心としたソングライティング力、美しい音作り含め実力あるバンドなのは間違いない。 Fleet Foxes、Arcade Fire、Nationalあたりがお好きなら。
