Veterinarian recommended best enzyme carpet cleaner
Anti Icky Poo is the most widely known and recommended enzyme carpet cleaners from almost any veterinarian you might ask for a recommendation regarding any type of pet soiling in the house. I should know, I am a long time veterinarian, and there is no carpet cleaner, also no other enzyme carpet cleaner, that can compare. I used to use Nature's Miracle a long time ago because it was cheaper, but once I used this there was no going back. The most important thing of all is to use an enzyme cleaner on pet stains instead of a regular detergent type carpet cleaner (even one that says it's for pet stains). A detergent type cleaner will try to mask the odor meanwhile silently spreading the mess around under the carpet surface and thus won't solve anything in the long run. An enzyme cleaner biologically disintegrates the molecules that make up the odor and the stain, so there is nothing left to attract the pet to return to the same spot. Key point: you may not think a spot smells but your dog or cat will be very aware of lingering urine marking odors, and the problem will continue until this is resolved. It helps to get to the spots as quickly as possible, before the staining gets bad (a blacklight can be a good tool) but this product can handle anything, set in stains and odors included. They have a website with more information, but the most important thing to know is to locate the problem area and soak it completely in Anti Icky Poo all the way to the floorboards, and let it sit until it dries. If you need to apply multiple times, do that, because it is not possible to use too much. That will either be the end of it, or at that point, once you have cleared the odor, you can use a detergent cleaner if there is still a stain. Mister Max makes one and I would suggest using their full line of products. Their bottle, listing what messes it helps clean up, even lists dead bodies (meaning humans). This is a serious cleaning product. They have never disappointed me, and I have had my share of pets and accidents, especially house-training my last rescue puppy. Highly recommend!!

The absolute best in pet odor removal!!
I can't even count the many times this odor remover has saved my carpet, walls, and floors. In the past several years, we have had aging cats and associated difficulties with missing or not using the litter box. One of our cats once had a UTI, and peed in several places on the carpet. I tried so many remedies, including a professional carpet cleaner; this is the ONLY product that has ever worked for me - every single time. One hint: if you do have a serious problem as I did above, it WILL take several days for the odor to go away; just don't give up. I have used the carpet injector for serious problems like that one, but the basic treatment is: soak up the urine or poo with paper towels; just don't rub it. Spray the anti-icky-poo liberally. If possible, place a towel over it and press it in with your feet (don't really need to do that on hard floors or walls, just carpet). In 24 hours, repeat the process. You can keep repeating it, but after two treatments the problem should be taken care of. It sometimes takes a week or more to really notice there is NO MORE odor. It also does a great job on stains. As soon as any cat has a mess, I blot it, then spray it with this; if it's small, it almost literally just vanishes. The other day, one of our cats stepped in his poo, then stepped out of the litter box; freaked out when he realized his foot was dirty, and shook his foot with poo going all over the room - blinds, wall, carpet, etc. What a mess! Anti-Icky-Poo came to the rescue again! It makes the cleaning so much easier, leaves behind no scent, and I just cannot say enough what an absolutely amazing product this is. NO odor remover works like this one! I do prefer the unscented. The scented doesn't smell bad, but now that I have used the unscented I do prefer it. That way, you don't even know something was sprayed except that BAD odors go away. And I use this on anything and everything. I never want to be without it; just reordered! I should add: works on other odors too, I.e. musky stale odors. Have sprayed on carpet that got too wet.

Good formula, bad bottles.
Would be 5 stars if the spray bottles weren't so awful. I've purchased the spray bottles twice now - thinking that my first spray bottle was just a dud but unfortunately the 2nd one was too. Even with the bottle FULL, it never sprays a continuous spray, targeted spray. It foams up and goes everywhere. The formula does what it's supposed to do - neutralizes pet odor, specifically cat urine odor for us. I just hate that I need to find my own spray bottle for it.

It really works for cat pee on our hardwood floors
Bought this product thru referral from our Vet. I have a 15 yr male cat who decided he wanted to pee all over my house ruined our hardwood floors. I was only aware that he was doing this when It seriously smelt like strong cat pee. He had a whole part of my home that we never really used. I was so angryI thought maybe I will put him down if this is what he intends to do. Of course that was a thought in my anguish. I took him to our vet and she tested him for a uti and blood. He was fine. She told me to try the anti icky poo and get it on Amazon. Well I needed to contact the seller with questions about how to use on the hardwood floors. It seemed the info they gave me via email was more informative. I believe most people Buy for the carpet. The customer service was phenomenal and helped me use it and it works perfect on the hardwood flooring. Spray alot getting the area that has the pee. Oh forgot I bought the blacklight to find all the places my cat peed.At night I used the blacklight flashlight and my goodness in my shock and horror it looked worse than a forensic murder scene! Cover the treated area with plastic and let it dry . The urine and product drys together into a powder that cleans up the smell. It works! I have excepted the fact my aging cat deserves to live and be loved . I blocked that room from his accessing it. I decided until I find ways to get him back to using the litter box to put down towels in one area where he now goes.

The bottle was shipped in a plastic bag. No surprise that all the liquid had leaked out into the bag by the time it arrived. Very disappointing. I would give this 0 stars if that was an option.
