So light! So comfortable!
I love Palladiums. I've been wearing them almost exclusively since 2015. Though I've only owned leather ones these are my first alternative material and they're even lighter and more comfortable.I wasn't sure about the elastic laces situation but theyre easy to get on and off and can be snugly secured. They are super cool looking too.I did end up putting an insole in them because I'm old and could use extra comfort and I'm planning on using them during a week long festival/camping trip but you probably don't need to add any, theyre pretty comfy. One thing I have an issue with Palladium is that they change models up over the years so if you find a pair you love... grab a couple at once before they discontinue them or change the product but keep the same name.

Buy these for their looks, not their performance
How these Palladium Pampa Travel Lite boots rate depends very much on why you are thinking about buying them. If you want to look like you're wearing stylish paratrooper boots as you wander around town, then these might just be the ticket. But if you intend to use them for actual outdoor activities, keep looking. These boots are not plush but they're not stiff and hard either. Any cushion comes from their soft sole. It is easy to take your thumb and push into the sole like it is a partially deflated basketball. If you step on something like a thorn, it will go right through the sole into your foot. There is no shank either. But the real deal killer for hiking is the lack of a gusseted tongue. Any debris that ends up on top of the boot will have a good chance of migrating into it.The boot does have a nice look. The orange accents really pop against the black. The materials used for the upper is attractive although, again, they don't look particularly durable. Most of the upper is made from a nylon that looks like something you're more likely to find on a jacket than a shoe. The lacing system is nice. It's not speed lacing like you would find on a running shoe but it is faster than regular laces. The fit is a little smaller than a typical 12 (the size I ordered) but not by much. The laces are stretchy so your foot is never really locked in tight but the fit isn't sloppy either. It would say it is about right for casual wear. The soles have no real arch support. Those who need arch support will have to replace the insoles. Those with flat feet will likely find these comfortable.Ultimately, casual wear is how I would describe these boots. They look good and fit fine for this purpose. I don't recommend them for outdoor activities. They're just not built for this purpose.

Favourite shoe ever!
Bought another 2 pairs of Travel Lite's. Bought the first pair 18 months ago and wore them literally everyday. They are the boots you can get away with wearing in all environments that don't feel like shoes. There is no lighter shoe that exists, i took these backpacking and clipped them to my bag, the best! The build quality isn't great, the glue on the seamed loosened pretty quick as I wore them as hiking/work shoes everyday. Not noticeable though. I also wore the rubber down a lot over that time. Which is why i just bought 2 more pairs and kept one in the box in case they become harder to get.I don't usually write reviews, but i want these palladiums to continue to be available for selfish reasons. They get a lot of compliments and are genuinely my favourite shoes. You won't be disappointed!

Great boot, not so great gimmick
Don't get me wrong, I absolutely love these boots. They're comfortable, durable, and incredibly lightweight. My issue is with the "fast lacing" feature. The snap that secures the pulltab to the heel of the boot is much too loose, and tends to pop open when walking, or if I bump my toe on something. The elastic laces are also much too long when the boot is laced tight, and since the pulltab is sewn onto the lace, they can't be shortened without ruining the boot.TL:DRLove the boots, not the fast lacing feature. If you want a pair of Pampa Travel Lites, I'd recommend ponying up another $50 to buy the Travel Lite+ Waterproofs. They have the same signature look, but are constructed of thicker fabric, they have a Gusseted tongue for waterproofing, and the laces are designed much

Best boots ever
I love these boots- super comfortable, very lightweight, great looking, easy on and off.... did I mention super lightweight??? I got these ahead of travelling to Australia and wore them more than any other shoe for the month I spend hiking and wandering throughout Melbourne, Sydney and the environs. I put my own insoles in, but the basic footbed is fine. Everywhere I've gone, I've received numerous compliments and people have asked for information about them (even buying themselves a pair as we are talking). I now have a second pair and intend to keep myself supplied with these. It's been a year and I'm only wearing down the tread from use- everything else is holding up very well.

I wouldn't even buy these boots for $5.
I expected better from Palladium. The soles and tread on the boots are made of a cheap and fragile foam material - rather than rubber. For $100 I expected at least decent quality. These wouldn't last you a month. Buy something else, literally anything else. These boots are shameless dollar store quality garbage.
