Wahl Sure Cut Clipper Kit, 79449-200

Simple to use and no problems.

This shaver was a gift for my burley son. He has thick facial hair but thinner hair up top. When he got this he headed right into the restroom. In no time he returned with a huge grin on his face! The reason I could see it was because he was already nicely shaved and trimmed. He said it was so easy to use and quick to boot. Thanks for a great product that delivers as advertised.

High quality product for a fantastic price

Works very well as comes with a case to store all the clipper sizes and scissors. Very durable and strong, gets the job done. My only comment would be that it is really oily in the sense that even if you place just a tiny drop, it makes a big mess. That makes it a bit harder to clean. It also heats up pretty quick when using so keep that in mind. It doesn’t become hot to touch but it did come as a bit of a surprise. Overall, it gets the job done and suits my needs.

Did research and cheapest choices seem to not cut well, pulls hairs. This was cheapest with best value. In using it, it cut well, did not pull hairs, and for the price, I can imagine no better choice for the limited use I wanted this for. namely beard and infrequent hair. Has all the attachments needed for full use as hair cutting device.

Have been cutting my own hair for 18 years. Using Wahl clippers most of that time. Onto the review.Pros: Quiet, powerful, average cord length, basic clippers with taper which I like.Cons: leaves lines, guards aren’t great, although powerful doesn’t cut well.The power is there to cut through hair, but it just doesn’t seem to actually get the hair. I believe it’s more the guard than the clippers. Left lines in our hair that I had to go over several times. With my old clippers (also wahl) I could buzz my head in 5 minutes. Last night I spent about 45 minutes cutting the same areas over and over again. I’ve got a pretty simple haircut routine. Level 3, buzz the whole head, trim up around ears, done. I cut my sons hair the same way. When I finished mine, I looked in the mirror and could see large patches that were still longer than the rest, especially on the sides.Like I said, when the blade contacts the hair, it cuts it, but it must have something to do with the guard pushing the hair down instead of up into the blade. My son is 10, have given him all but his first haircut and last night took twice as long and he said the guard was hurting him. I didn’t experience that but something to note if you’re using it on kids.I’m going to attempt to make a few adjustments to it to see if I can get a better cut. Out of the box, freshly oiled and brand new, I give these a 2.5/3 star. Only reason for that, when I used them without the guard they were great, such as on sideburns and trimming. They’re able to cut, so I’m not sure what the problem is. I will update this review when I mess with the power settings and make sure the blade is straight. I know these are the basic clippers and I wasn’t expecting them to perform like a professional set, but it doesn’t seem unreasonable to expect any clippers to just cut the hair. We have regular straight hair, no curls or thick stuff. Maybe it’s time to switch brands.
