I'm a big tea drinker so when I go somewhere I've always packed up my electric kettle so boiling water is never problem.This compact kettle is even better. It boils enough water for a big travel mug of tea, water for oatmeal, or for instant noodles. I may not have to leave the hotel room!!I like that you can preset the temperature and watch the temperature go up as the water is heated.

This item arrived well packaged and in great condition. On opening it up it is also attractive and compact.I first read the instruction's, which I haver to say are poorly written. You will get through them, but be warned, there is one confusing point, for me at least - It says you can use it below a specified height with the lid closed, yet it also says you must use it with the lid open all of the time - You MUST leave at least the small pouring spout open or it will not work properly and I guess could explode due to the build up of pressure, of which it warns! Why these manufacturers do not get their instructions checked is beyond me!The different setting seem to work, but it does take a long time for the water to boil and the kettle to stop on its own accord if set to the 100 level.Being a compact unit, there is not enough water to fill two mugs, cups yes, but not mugs.It also contains some accessories that I still have no idea what they are intended for, other than the two sachets of cleaning powder that is.In summary, it works, is larger than the old fashioned 'element' that our parents used to take on holiday to make a cuppa in their hotel rooms, but it is more attractive!
