Worked fine until it lasted (17 Monts)
Works exactly how it should be feels sturdy and seemed good quality.Edit: After 17 months it suddenly stopped working. I haven't used it since March, it was barely used. Maybe 15 times in total, and now it turns on but won't get hot. Sadly no warranty after 1 year.

Bigger than expected but works well.
I bought this to heat BEVA film adhesive - for that purpose it does its job - the temperature maybe a little high as the lowest setting is circa 100 degrees where as the optimal temp for BEVA film is lower than this - just means you have to eyeball the temperature instead. It’s quite a large head - a lot larger than I was expecting at about 3-4” long - so if you need it for delicate work it may be a bit big.My gripe with it is how it’s described as digital - there is a turn wheel to adjust the temperature, with an LED indicator like on an iron stating when it’s up to temperature - but I fail to see how it is digital. All in all though it does the job and is a nice little hand held heat iron. It comes with a little metal stand too so you can rest it against that rather than letting it lie on the desk too :)

Very precise control of temperature from this covering iron
The key feature of this covering iron is it's ability to accurately control the temperature that is required to tighten covering on RC flying models of Balsa and Plywood construction. The accurate control of temperature is vital for this work. Temperature too high and the covering will be damaged or not hot enough and the covering will not tighten. This covering iron comes with a 'sock' which allows gentle movement across the covering material.

Broke within 3 months
Bought this 19th Jan 2025 now got a flashing green power light and won't heat up and it's not even been 3 months. Occasional use only. Do yourself a favour and just buy a cheap household iron, a lot cheaper and a lot more reliable.
