Installation was difficult, but once I tried about everything and used some intuition, it worked great. Once it is setup successfully, you can access and operate it from anywhere in the world you can get internet including over your cell phone data plan, e.g. 4G). Note that the instructions are awful. Bad translation.Some Pointers:- Definitely setup a separate SSID for the 2.4ghz channel(s) on your wifi router if it is dual band. Don't just set the router to the "smart" mode hoping it will do the trick.- Although the instructions mention keeping the phone close to the unit when setting it up, do so until you set it to pair with your wifi. Once you tell it to pair and it starts "chirping", move your phone a few feet away from the unit. Don't know exactly why, but this was the last thing I tried after several unsuccessful attempts at the last pairing step and it worked. Over and over again.- Some settings / features you set take some time to actually enable. Select your settings, then be patient. My video didn't record automatically when activated with alters for many hours. Then it was fine.- True as written in some other reviews, motion detection is by light and not pure movement. So expect some alerts and video recordings during lighting storms. Note that you won't see the first flash of lighting on the recording, but the subsequent ones within the recording period.- Note that once an alert activates the video, the recording goes for about 8 minutes. If the motion in the room stops for some time within this 8 minute period, a new video will start before the other finishes.- All of the features advertised about the unit do work, you just have to keep trying different things until you find out how. Like I said, the instructions are awful, but the camera does work very well.

I’m pretty impressed with this camera. This may sound odd, but I got it for my cats. I have a cat I love that got very sick and had surgery, and it became hard for me to leave her. I have a lot of anxiety when I’m at work and debilitating anxiety when I travel. I just needed to be able to check in and ensure she’s alive and okay. This is perfect! I can pop in on my phone, scan the room 360 degrees, zoom in and out, and even say hello! It works perfectly well even when I’m far away and it didn’t break the bank. Night vision is great too. Another bonus is when you are away and you have those moments like, did I turn off my curling iron? Is my house on fire? Obviously I’m a pretty anxious person and this has done wonders for helping me out. I’m not super tech savvy or interested in anything complicated, so I’m grateful this is simple and easy to set up and use.

Easy to setup. Had to install it upside down but you can flip the image on the app. The quality isn't that great. It looks clear at first glance but then you notice how grainy it is. Especially when you look back at recorded video or screenshots.Using the app you can only review like 4 minutes at a time then it closes the screen and you have to find where you were over again. There's no option to change settings by entering the ip address which I've been able to do on other cameras. But you can use the app to view anywhere. Just only this one. Can't use a 3rd party one to view multiple cameras.The pan/tilt and audio do work good. It's just hard to navigate the app and not being able to adjust settings really sucks. The pictures might seem clear on here but they're really not. Very grainy looking at video or pics on your phone and on a big screen it's even worse.

The product was pretty easy to install as long as you follow the instructions and download the app first. Took me a minute to find the reset button. You have to roll the camera ball pointing the camera upwards to get to the bottom and find the button. Just under that you will find the microSD card slot. It’s not very precise so you have to angle it in just right and make sure the gold connectors are facing up rather than down. Up towards the camera. I think I will be ordering another camera.

This camera would be good if it only worked... I made my decision to buy it based on the reviews and at this point I’m not sure why it has such good ones.The set up was ok, but not too easy. It seems that the instruction it came with miss out on a lot of stuff. I had to keep contacting the company and when usually I received a quick response sometimes it was longer due to the “time change”. One of my question still hasn’t been answered and it’s been days now.I bought this camera to be able to go back in time and see what my dogs were doing during the night. The first night I turned the option in an app to start recording between 1am and 7am. I got up next day and there was NOTHING. I contacted the company and after hearing how this was a new option and they would get back to me I still haven’t heard how to go about it. So the next day I decided to just turn on the 24/7 recording. I got up next day and NOTHING... while I was at work I checked the camera and saw there were suddenly some periods of recording available but not continuous. It was all random and somewhat mixed up... That night I thought I would reset the camera and see what happens. Unfortunately the next morning I still had NOTHING. I read one of the reviews where someone wrote you need to give the camera a long time for the function to “kick in” but it seems it needs like 8 hours?!?! To me that’s crazy. Anyway I went to work and after a while I tried opening the app and see what’s going on and the camera was offline. At this point I decided that I must be delusional to think that I can spend $38 dollars and have a good camera so after acquiring among coworkers I purchased a $130 one and honestly couldn’t be happier. Both cameras have a 1080 p camera but Anran definitely has a very grainy picture. After seeing how clear the picture is with the new camera I don’t believe that Anran truly is 1080...I think if the camera worked as advertised and all options were functioning it would be a pretty good camera for its price. I would even be ok with the grainy picture. But the frustration itself was not worth it. After 4 days I was ready to throw it out the window...
