PSA approved for timing chain protection
PSA has trouble with cams timing chains so total rcp and Mobil 1 formula p was the only oil recommended by PSA until recently. Castrol is much better value and the engine sound better for some reason. These engines do not have wet belts, they have a dry timing belt with a cam chain. The chain was the part that gave trouble hence these oils were developed. I would recommend changing oil every 5000 miles.

Same spec as Citroën’s recommended oil, but cheaper
This Castrol Magnatec 5W-30 P is a direct replacement for the Citroën-recommended Total oil. It carries the exact same PSA approvals and has the right additives to protect wet timing belts, which is crucial on these engines. I’ve switched to this with confidence and the car runs perfectly. At almost half the price of Total, it’s excellent value.

Gutes Öl zum tollen Preis und schnell geliefert. Was will man mehr. In der Werkstatt kosten zwei Liter davon, dass was hier die 5 ltr. Kanne kostet.
