My Best Gear Find In Decades!!
YES!! After buying very expensive RRS bottom Swiss Arca plates (w/detachable vertical adapter) for both my Nikon Z8 and Z9, I just purchased this for my GFX100 II. What a brilliant and inexpensive piece of gear, that does not block the battery cover, nor card slots or cable ports. It’s very strong and well-made, and allows both horizontal or vertical camera mounting with ease, by changing nothing except the camera position!Loving. This. Product!!!

Well built, smaller, lighter and I think better than standard L-brackets!
This bracket is much smaller, lighter and less obtrusive than a standard L-bracket and works with any ARCA Swiss mount. Solidly built and as good as any of the larger more expensive brackets. I highly recommend this bracket!

Bad Fit With Genuine Arca Swiss Clamp
Just because it says Arca Swiss on it doesn't mean it works. I have an Arca Swiss Monoball tripod head and this thing did not fit at all into the clamp. The tolerance were way off. Wow, a Chinese knock off product with a made up brand name didn't work? Who knew? Just buy the real thing and spend more money. Junk like this just should never be manufactured in the first place. Maybe it will work for you, if so great, but this no-name stuff is a gamble in my opinion. My actual Arca hardware works like a dream by comparison.

Multi use bracket,
Well machined bracket. I am using this on a Nikon Z6 with a Smallrig L bracket. This camera is often used with the Benro Polaris. The issue I encounter is that when using a lens without a lens foot, the camera faces the wrong way unless you use a rotating collar. The Polaris app does have an L bracket option but I don't like using it. Personal preference. None fit the camera with the Smallrig L bracket well or with ease. Enter this gadget. It connects to the Smallrig L bracket perfectly and now any lens I choose without a lens foot is oriented correctly on the Benro Polaris. Since the bracket has an anti twist configuration, the camera doesn't shift, critical when tracking stars, I am very happy with it.

Works as designed
Bracket works as designed and allows access to controls that otherwise would be unavailable using a standard L bracket.Plate does sit forward of the front edge of the camera. When used in vertical position you have to line it up by eye before locking down the tripod head since the vertical portion of the plate is narrow. Once you get used to that it works great.I’m using it on a Nikon Z8 and can now access the cable release socket and use the autofocus controller with no problems. My L bracket had to be adjusted to a stand-off position and I had to thread the cable release cable through the bracket and then into the socket. With this plate there’s nothing in the way.

Very useful as lens foot arca plate.
Got this as a plate for lens foot. Extra mounting screw attachment at end very handy.Fits well.

Potential replacement for L brackets
L brackets are great, but have their drawbacks, especially with cameras that have a screen that flips out to the side. I wanted to try something different for my Canon R5.The plate fits well and does have a rubberized surface to prevent slippage. They might do well to introduce models that are specific to certain cameras to take advantage of the pin receptors that will eliminate slippage completely. As is, the universal plate is a workable solution. The biggest drawback with the L brackets - even with the cut out, is that the flip screen cannot turn all the way around. I was hoping that this would be solved with this bracket, and it is mostly. The screen will hit just slightly on this bracket, but movement is a lot less limited, which is a major plus. One thing that I was a little surprised about, although doesn't really affect the usage, is that this plate sits forward a bit. I'm used to plates that are more or less flush with both the front and the back of the camera. This extends a little beyond the front of the camera and therefore also doesn't extend fully to the back. While this prevents it from having as clean of a look as many other plates, I don't see a functional issue, and this forward sitting may also help with the screen clearance as noted above.Vertical shots: So, the point of L brackets has been to allow for vertical shots while still keeping the camera above the tripod head, rather than using the head to turn to vertical. This bracket provides for a portion of that functionality. With a standard L bracket, you can keep the lens centered over the head. With this plate, because the side piece is aligned with the bottom of the camera, the lens can never be precisely centered over the head for vertical shots. For small tripods with small heads, this can also mean that the center of gravity of the camera is off to the side, potentially creating a risk of tipping. On larger, more sturdy, tripods and heads, the risk would be minimized. For those wishing to shoot multiples images for a pano stitch, the alignment won't be the best possible. Even with such a small side piece, I don't have any reason to feel that it can't be securely mounted on the head.So far I think this is an exciting update to the available plates and, although it may have a few drawbacks, I'm curious to see if this is adopted by more manufacturers. I'll definitely be using this more extensively in the coming weeks.
