i use these for sport. they are a lactic acid buffer same as baking powder in the kitchen o have issues with taking te raw powder. either I use to much or it acts on my stomach negatively these either pass to the gut or are lower strength and have no negative digestional effects I am unsure if they have the positive buffer effect in these quantities
