Did not expect this monitor to be so good. Colors are nice and the screen itself is just great looking. I've used Redragon mouses before and got this monitor on Prime deal days for 170. Easiest 170 for a monitor spent ever.

While I'm an occasional gamer, I'm not reviewing this monitor from the perspective of a hard-core gamer as I don't often play fast-paced 1st person shooters. This monitor has up to 165 Hz refresh rate and 1ms response time. But I only needed a monitor as an extended screen on my laptop, and while this is overkill in that regard, it's a great monitor. 4K and 8K videos look fabulous with HDR color enabled on my laptop and the IPS this monitor offers, especially aquarium videos with colorful fish look great. Thanks to IPS, there's almost no degradation when viewing the monitor from angles to the extreme sides. The bezel is so thin on the top and both sides. I'm not a fan of the buttons being in back of the monitor and would prefer them to be more accessible on the bottom, because if I'm pairing a couple monitors side-by-side then I have no access to the buttons on at least one of them. The controls are easy to use, though I do question why there's a volume control enabled when there aren't any built-in speakers? I did run into an issue of losing sound from my laptop when I plugged in the hdmi cable (my laptop doesn't have a DisplayPort port). I had to disable the NVIDIA audio option that popped up under System > Sound when plugging in hdmi, and ensure my laptop speaker was the default. Now I have no troubles with sound. With this monitor extended on my laptop I can watch YouTube videos, manage multiple tasks more easily, and of course play some games! This also includes a decent monitor stand which allows for tilting the monitor up or down, but not rotating side to side. There's also a 75x75mm VESA mount about 6.5" down from the top of the monitor, which would've been perfect to mount in my RV except that without built-in speakers it doesn't make as much sense unless I use a bluetooth speaker as well, but I'll likely search for a 27" TV instead. I do love the matte screen and viewing angles and deep colors and hope I can find an equivalent TV that looks as nice. I'm happy to have this great monitor on my desk to use with my laptop! BTW I did locate this monitor on their site and it's named Redragon AMBER 27" 144hz/165HZ flat gaming monitor.

This monitor is very nice I used it as a secondary screen for my husbands computer so he now has two gaming monitors. He says it has just as good of color as his other one does and it works just as fast. His other screen is a 32 inch so it makes them almost perfect in size and the screen quality is just as good as his other. He loses nothing with having this monitor and anyone who needs a good gaming monitor this is a good one and if its a second screen you will love it just as much. It is a bit pricey but I promise it is worth it with the quality because we tried a cheaper monitor before this and there was just such a difference in his screens he didn't much care for it.
