Best guitar I've ever played
I have owned a few guitars... Fender, Gibson, and some "lesser" brands like Ibanez and others. I have played dozens, maybe more than a hundred. I am no pro, but I have been around some guitars. For the last decade I have had a Gibson LP, and, as most people would expect, it has been a great guitar. Still, I have always felt like it was just a little "chunky" for me.I went to the guitar store a few weeks ago and was checking out the used guitars and talking to one of the employees there, complaining that I couldn't find anything that really felt right to me, and he suggested I try one of these PRS S2 Customs. He took me into the sound room so I could turn it up a little, handed me a new PRS S2 custom, and I fell in love instantly.I like everything about this guitar. It feels really good, the neck is awesome, but build quality is superb, it looks great, it sounds amazing, and I actually felt like I was a better guitar player when I played this thing. My fingers just landed where they were supposed to land, and the right sound came out every time. I wasn't planning on buying a guitar that day, but I walked out with one. Like I said, I am no pro, but I've been playing on and off for the better part of 30 years, and this is by far my favorite guitar. The Gibson is collecting dust. There is no way to really explain why I like this guitar so much. Sometimes things just feel right. Go to the music store and try one. You might just have the same experience I had. At under $1400, this is a must see if you are looking for a high-end guitar on a budget... This is a fantastic instrument at any price.Oh, and I picked the Grey Black. They had all the different finishes (there are several) but I was looking for something low-key and yet detailed if you look close enough. If you want some sort of sunburst, they also have the classic red-yellow sunburst (I think they call it tobacco sunburst or something).
