Lots of stories. Mostly it's good. Variety of styles. You should read first.
I liked it was written by a variety of authors in different styles. There were a few things that would not have raised an eyebrow (49), but I wouldn't put them in teaching books...There was a kid that seemed your 'classic unintelligent booger picking bully' but he was kind of a needless aside... It wasn't BAD & i probably wouldn't raise a brow except these were compiled and edited by a teacher...Those could be teachable moments though (Like why to you think he may act that way? How would you act around that person?)And to be fair, there is usually a kid that is behind the curve and eats glue and acts mean in many classes. Its the 'why are they acting out... Maybe because people called them names? (Not in the comic). There were a few I didnt really get the point of, or how it was educational.

Teacher
I bought it to use with my second and third graders but the topics are not well labeled with what subject is inside and the subjects are geared more towards 4th-5th grade. If youโre willing to read the whole book and label which stories have which subjects, this book is for you. I love the idea of learning with graphic novels. I donโt love how itโs not teacher user friendly.

Grandson loves it, his teacher, not so much.

Shhh...don't let them know they are learning!
This book is amazing. I got it for my eight year old son as he loves Albert the Alien. There are fun stories that teach while being fun. This a book he goes back to over and over.

Not what expected
Wasn't what I expected. I was looking for ideas on using graphic novels across all subject areas.

Not a bad purchase
Worked for engaging the reluctant male readers in my class. Has cartoons for more than one discipline though.
