Great for smaller kids. Enough shapes to survive more then a single time playing.
These are great for younger kids to learn shapes and some very basic math. The colors are engaging for them and they learn in the process. The pieces are sturdy so they'll survive multiple play-throughs by the child and can even withstand some minimally dirty hands.Recommended.

Paper is thin but is still fun for arts n crafts
I have 3 year old twins who like to cut and glue for fun. This makes it less of a pain for me to make shapes for them. The paper is a bit then, I wouldn't call it "card stock". But it does punch out easy and the colors are vibrant and pretty.

Great activities to get your kids working with their hands
I got this for my son and he's been having a great time creating things he comes up with. He's been able to build some pretty amazing design and with a glue stick has been making more and more things to hang up. The paper is pretty thick and holds up to his process cutting out the different shapes.

needs work
I love the great colors in this pack. The shapes are great and pretty easy to punch out for yourself. The downside is that the paper is thin. I do not think they will last long with young children. It would be great if it were more sturdy like lamented.

Lighter weight paper.
The thickness is good. Not too thick, but not so light that the shapes will bend much as they are being released from the sheet. I was afraid I’d bend them all out of shape. I didn’t, though. They are smooth, but other than that they are like a sheet of construction paper. The colors are very vivid. Some of the shapes are large enough to use as labels in journals. It is fun, even for adults, to design different things with them. I got the geometric shapes, but there is another set that has art shapes. I might order that one, too.I did have to sand down the sides to make them appear smooth and get rid of the dots where the shapes were attached to the sheet. If kids were using them, I’d leave them as is.

LOTS of shapes for creative play
Love pattern blocks where kids can experiment and see the relationships between different shapes (two trapezoids make a hexagon, for instance). The pieces punch out easily and are fairly sturdy, while still being paper. I’ve shared similar pattern blocks with elementary, middle, and high school aged kids, and everyone enjoys them. The difference here is that you have to punch them out, so it’s not as easy to grab and go. That said, you also get a lot more pieces. Whereas the acrylic pieces I’ve used are great for playing and then putting away, there are enough pieces here that kids can make their designs permanent, mounting them on whatever they choose. I can see them just on paper but also being used to decorate a chest of drawers, for instance. So it’s nice that there are enough pieces to do that sort of thing. So it really depends on what you want. I think there’s room for both, although I personally prefer the acrylic pieces where I don’t have to worry about bending and fading. That said, I still recommend these, especially if you want the kids to make more permanent patterns.

Arrived just as posted
882 pieces is a lot of paper pieces. I am disappointed with myself that I purchased these before I realized they were paper. was thinking I was getting the plastic shapes but it's ok. The kids will still like playing with the shapes making different things. You have to punch out each piece out of the sheet, it's all cut out just have to give a gentle tug to separate them.

Amazing!
These are so nice! The colors are bright, and MOST IMPORTANTLY... the shapes are well perforated so they punch out easily without ripping! I put these out for 3-5 year-olds as a collage activity, and the children had no problems taking the shapes out, without damaging them! It made them feel successful. For some children who have difficulty with stickers, they found this easier to do.The paper is good quality cardstock, so whatever you want to use these for, I recommend them.
