Yes, that would work great. Use the satellites for side surrounds and rear. I would also consider replacing the center channel with a larger speaker down the road because there is not much in the mid range and lower. And you want the lower ranges coming from the center speaker and not the subwoofer for directionality.

Can these be connected by banana plugs? Sometimes there are little plastic caps at ends of posts but I don’t see anything removable on these.

I ordered flexible plugs designed to insert in these clips. I found the ones I bought were “hit and miss”- some of the connectors fit, some were too tight a fit. In the end I decided to return the flexible plugs and just plug the wires in. I found that banana plugs we're great for plugging all the wires into my receiver and to the wall jacks I installed- clean look and solid and reliable connection. On another note you will need a 9 channel receiver to fully take advantage of these speakers. I absolutely love mine. I paired it with an Onkyo TX-NR7100 receiver.
