It takes 2 phone's to leave photos with a review!! Took me a few minutes to figure that out.
Right out f the boo I knew this phone was different. First off, it is a "Brick". It probably weights twice as much or three times as much as my last phone, a Moto G Power 2021, and as you guessed it, purchased in 2021. It was rugged but I had to purchase the cases and glass protectors every time I dropped it. The G1 comes in a waterproof, rugged case and is complete with Gorilla Glass and port covers for every opening on the phone. Talking about protection! I can now understand the weight! As for function, it comes with Android 14 that takes a little getting use to but if your an Android fan like me it just takes time. The screen is just as sensitive as a normal screen protector and just as functional. My only complaint it the "free" power cord that comes with the high powered adapter. It's short and cheep. I like the adapter but having a 2 foot power cord means your going to need to jump on Amazon and order a replacement. **Remember to get a USB C to USB C adapter cable NOT a USB to USB C cable as it won't work. Now let's talk about moving from one phone to another, because the G1 is unlocked just swap your SIM card, plug in the power cable on your new phone, then plug it into your old phone and turn it on. Data transfer is by Google and took me about 2 hours and a few reboots but it copied about 95% of my data, history, and Apps without my help. Easiest move from phone to phone Ive ever had. Just remember to reboot when it says your done and don't be afraid to ask the A.I. If you have any questions.

Did not work with my carrier. Was told it would. Phone was locked.
Probably a good phone, but i was not able to use it. I was told the phone would work with mint mobile, it does not! Also i was told that it was unlocked, it was not. A pretty stressful thing to deal with. I will not buy another phone through Amazon. It is taking forever to return my money to me. This is ridiculous.

Long lasting battery on the singe charge !!
I've bought it for my wife as a replacement of previous failing phone. That OUKTEL G1 really runs for the full month in the STANDBY mode. Under normal, and in case of my wife, very extensive use (YouTube and so, several hours a day) it lasted for about 10 DAYS from the single charge! The charging can be done from the "standard" USB-C charger (longer charging) or within about 2 (may be 3) hours from the PROVIDED high power charger. Plenty of internal memory !! I installed micro SD additional memory 64GB, just in case, and now it seems to me pathetic to myself... The only what seems to me questionable is the height of its plastic case border around the screen glass. Therefore I've bought the addition "envelope style case (with cover over the screen) and metal chain to put it over the shoulder. I am happy, when my wife is happy having such good new phone !! AWESOME PHONE!!!
This phone is perfect me as I'm constantly on the go. If you are a little clumsy at times then thos phone could be perfect for you as well. I've dropped it a couple times, I must admit, but you'd never know from looking at my phone. Sometimes I'll accidentally put it in my pocket with my keys or what have you and, I swear, it has the most scratch resistant screen I've ever seen. It's loud, has crisp videos with remarkable clarity. I only have to charge it once every few days as it has a nice, large battery. Works flawlessly and is pretty fast to boot. Rugged is an understatement. It has a little weight to it but one gets used to that pretty quickly. The clarity of videos is amazing. Very clear. The G1 phone is undoubtedly the BEST phone I've ever owned and I've went through a ton of cell phones. It's very affordable and for it's price... You get way more than you pay for. Can't go wrong with this one!

Bonito todo. Resistente, lo único malo que algo pasa al momento de llamada por WhatsApp, se corta, no se entiende cuando habla, y no es el intemet, ni la configuración. Porque ya lo he realizado.

Heavy!
Good phone, sturdy and fast. The BT is a little glitchy, not alwasys reconnects with my smartwatch, and i have to reboot it. For the price it's good anyway. No problems with T-Mobile SIM (at least the one i have from Mint), the battery last about 3 days with a normal use (i don't play games with it). Update: After the last system update the Bluetooth problem seems to be resolved. Thank you.

Rugged?? I don't know...
This phone has some good but overall bad. I had to download a launcher off the bat because the default one is bad. No big deal. I love the huge battery. You get used to the bulk and the weight. But 6 months in i had to quit using it. Google maps navigation and all other navigation apps won't work. The compass and accelerometer won't calibrate. A rugged phone should last longer than 6 months. My last ditch effort is factory reset. I will update this review if it works, trying tomorrow though.

Glass screen exposed and no headphone jack
Just received phone. Two initial comments-- glass screen is proud of the case (i.e. sticks up higher than the sides of the plastic case). So thinking if it falls, very likely the glass will hit first and break. Seems like a poor design for a rugged case. I didn't realize this phone doesn't have a 3.5mm (mini) headphone jack. I use wired headphones. I'll probably return this phone.
