Cheap build but does the job just fine
I was looking for a cheap memory card reader to keep in a backpack for the odd occasion I needed a card reader as machines rarely have compact flash card readers and not always SD card readers either. The reader itself is small and light making it ideal for this purpose and it reads xD, SD, Memory stick and compact flash with the CF slot being particularly useful as I CF support is reducing as fewer cameras now support it. For data transfer there is a standard mini-USB port which is again fine for my use as I usually have a mini-USB cable on me although some people may prefer the slightly additional bulk of a builtin USB cable/plug which some readers offer. As you'd expect from the price the plastic feels pretty cheap and the USB port is a bit stiff but neither are an issue, although my reader is looking a bit worse for wear after sitting at the bottom of a backpack for a while it's still working fine. I only use it for CF and SDHC cards (up to 16GB) but no issues reading either, it has no problem reading a particular SDHC card which the onboard readers on two of my laptops refuse to read. The only issue I have with the reader is that there's no micro SD slot, I realise you can use an adapter but I never seem to have one on me as I don't need one that often. I have a micro SD card reader as part of another card reader which I find useful because while my phone can be mounted to access its micro SD card directly, it's only as an MTP device (works fine with some OS's, not so well with others) and speed isn't that great so being able to read/write directly to the card is handy. Definitely more useful than the xD card slot this reader offers as xD cards have been dead for some time now.

For those looking to use this Card Reader with SDXC/microSDXC cards and a Windows XP computer
If intending to use this "All in 1" Card Reader with SDXC/microSDXC cards from a Windows XP computer, be aware that these cards are "exFAT" formatted. The standard Windows XP installation (including all the automatic updates) does not inherantly read/write to "exFAT" formated media such as the SDXC/microSDXC cards. You'll need to update to SP2 or later, then apply Windows XP special update (KB955704) which can be obtained free of charge from the Windows Download Website (use their search feature on the download site using "KB955704" to locate the download).Once installed the KB955704 update will enable XP to read/write to SDXC/microSDXC cards mounted in this Card Reader. The KB955704 download is easily installed with the supplied wizard and is trouble-free.A great product at a very special price.

Complete Rubbish
I hate to type this as I am usually a satisfied 7dayshop customer but avoid this like the plague.I tried this on 2 different computers (a laptop running Vista and a desktop running Win7) and both complained initially that the driver didn't install correctly. After a few attempts it seemed to work but then, on using it to read by CF card, it completely corrupted the card :(8GB of photos than I can't get off the card and can't view except on the camera itself :(A complete evening of photo-taking ruined.

Good piece of kit
One tip I was given is always use a card reader and not you camera when transferring images to your computer. The reason being that you save battery power and your camera is put away and less likely to get knocked over whilst on your desk. This card reader works well, is fast at transferring images.

Handy gadget
I bought this for my boyfriend as he had a Compact Flash card, and no way of taking the files off it. He was really pleased with this product as it worked perfectly and very quickly. He said that he highly recommends it.

Works well
This works well with a range of cards. I read that you are better removing the card and using this than collecting your expensive camera to the electric supply on your computer. This was cheap and works. Job done.
