I received the product fast and in pristine condition. It was easy to attach to my headphones. The recording quality is fantastic, better than any other microphone I've had before. I use it in gaming sessions with friends and they can hear me loud and clear.

I initially gave this a poor review as the unit i had simply stopped working after a couple of weeks. I contacted the manufacturer and they investigated the problem and accepted that the unit was faulty. I got a replacement unit after a couple of days and its been working great so far.

I thought the mic would not have as much inherent noise - it is not too bad but if you are recording in a very quiet situation you can hear a bit of hiss. Bought for my grandson for recording gaming but he soon upgraded to a stand-alone mic.

If you set it up properly (which isn't hard, at all) then there are no issues with the cables. The mic is higher quality than I was expecting. Lower reviews seem to be the user's issue, not the product.

Nice neutral sound. This omnidirectional is my second for my quiet study at home; the unidirectional version works well in my noisy open plan office for daily use over several months.

Clarity is incredible. My friends ask if I am there as there is 0 interference. Quite pricey but it does what exactly you need

The product is great. I've done a few recordings and the raw audio sounds excellent. The mute option is a must-have. My version came with 5 wire clips to keep the wires organized, but I still recommend getting an accessory pack from their website that contains like 15 clips. Makes the wires so much more organized. I have a nice gaming headset and a nice pair of sennheiser hd 555 headphones. I loved the hd 555's for gaming, but they had no mic. So I was stuck with poorer audio to use my mic in-game. The mic is really important in the game I use them for and the clarity of this mic makes chat in-game clearer and more enjoyable for my team. I also have a career in the business world and conference calls can be a problem. Having a good pair of headphones so you can actually hear people is better than laptop speakers obviously. Especially when out in public. This mic makes yoir voice that much clearer for everyone on the call as well. There is nothing more frustrating than being on a conferwnce call with people who are incompetent with technology. Don't be that person. Put the thought and some effort into your communications. This mic will be a massive help along with a good pair of headphones.

Microfo que suple todas mis necesidades gamer, se escucha alto y claro. Su soporte mágnetico cumple con lo deseado, una vez pegado en el lateral del auricular la parte del microfono va inmantada. Se puede además cambiar de posicion para retirarlo y que no moleste, o incluso si quieres utilizar los auriculares de forma Stereo y llevarlos con tu movil quitarlos completamente. Es algo caro, pero cumple con todo lo que dice.

After a quick unboxing and setup, I joined a game and asked if people could hear me. The first response was "Wow, yeah! Crystal clear!" Definitely a good start. After the game, I did a few test recordings and was really impressed by how much clearer this mic was compared to the gaming headsets that I've been accustomed to. I purchased the Modmic after my latest gaming headset went south, and I started looking for a new one. Frustrated with the gimmicky realm of gaming headsets, and the fact that I couldn't use any of my existing (already great sounding) headphones for gaming, various reviews and online forums steered me to the Modmic. I now use my favorite pair of headphones while gaming, which have better clarity and a better soundstage than any of the other gaming headsets I've ever used. These have included, I'm ashamed to say, various "surround" headsets (it's a gimmick, you have two ears, and they're attempting poorly to sell you on better mixing to stereo from the surround source. Others actually have multiple SMALL drivers, all of which are too small to create realistic sound.) Sorry for the mini-rant. Long story short, headphones are better left to people in that industry who have done it well for a long time. The Modmic attaches and enables chat on those regular headphones. I can confirm that this mic works great with the Xbox one as well as PC. For the Xbox, you'll need Y cable that you plug the headphones and the mic into. The cable then (order is important) plugs into the Xbox controller or chat adapter. Note on that: make sure you make a few recordings of yourself while jostling the cables around; I noticed that the Y cable and/or jack had some dust or something that caused crackling when moving around. A few unplugs/replugs and twisting of the plug wore it in and the crackling stopped entirely. All in, the Modmic has been great. I'm hard-pressed to come up with things I'd change, as it came with nice clips and an extra magnetic attachment so I can use the mic on another headset. The only thing I would want different in version 5 if they release it would be to have smaller teeth on the part where it attaches to the magnetic base. This way there would be more positions that the mic clicks into while attached. It'd be REALLY cool if the mic itself attached magnetically to the cable, and they sold the cable and clips/attachments separately; this way I'd be able to leave cables on a few of my headphones and just slap the mic on whichever I want to use at the time.
