RoadPro RP-8X12CL Clear 12' CB Antenna with Mini-8 Coax Cable

I have more than a half dozen of these in mostly 12' lengths, three of which are still wrapped in the consumer packaging. I had intended to use them outside, but, on the advice of another ham who used to put up towers for a living, decided to use standard outside low loss cable instead. They are nevertheless excellent for inside patch cord use. The 12' 8x is probably suitable for a short run even with my 600 watt amplifier on the high frequency (HF) bands, but I have elected to restrict their use to less than 100 watts. Obviously, the 8x is less than ideal for not only higher power but for higher frequencies as well. By higher frequencies, I mean mid-VHF and higher (2 meters and above).The cable appears well made and is soldered instead of crimped. They are flexible for tight turns. I've been using these cables for years inside and they have never failed me. I wish I could say the same for others I've purchased.

Yes, I know just coax. But really built tough. The ends are done with a clean soldering job and the quality is super. 1st time buying roadpro coax, I would buy again. Shipped fast also! I'm happy. ;)
