Spectacular running shoes
I purchased these as a back up for a NYC marathon in case my new nike vapor fly's did not work. I used vapor fly earlier in the year but due to being a little too small they have messed up my toe nails. The replacement vaporflys, which were the newest version at the time, just did not feel right. The upper mash was too stiff and I was afraid it would further damage my toe nail. So in the last minute out of fear/panic of not being able to finish the race I purchased these. I tested them for a few runs prior to the race (not long enough to be 100% confident they would work..). But they did magic during the race as I was able to finish in little over 4hrs with zero discomfort. The upper mash is very soft. They need to fit somewhat snug as if stretched they may feel too loose. I always buy my running shoes in 1.5 size larger than the standard size, and these were the same. It works for. These shoes could be a little too cushy for some runners who want seed and dont care for the lost effort due to the softness of the sole. But in my opinion they still propel you forward enough where you will notice the difference in speed compared to your daily runners. They also did not wear out as fast as Nike vaporflys. I actually started using them for daily runs because they provide better support for my hips and prevent potential pain. I would not advise these as your only running shoes. They are super shoes. They are not daily runners and they will wear out much faster. These shoes are a splurge well worth the money if used for rotation or as race shoes only.

Like walking on a cloud!
Right out of the box, they fit like a glove and are like walking on a cloud. The fuel cell technology is amazing and the shoe feels fitted to my foot. This shoe is incredibly lightweight and rolls with your step, but provides a great amount of cushioning.Pros: Supportive, flexible, very lightweight. I think the new design looks pretty high-tech and is very different than anything NB has put out before. I am a walker, not a runner, and these feel like I'm walking on air. Very cushiony. My stride rolls with the shoe.Cons: Initially I wasn't sure I was a fan of the bootie style shoe, meaning the tongue does not come out for easily putting your foot in, especially when wearing socks. The more I wear them, the more that bootie seems to adjust to the size of my foot, making it easier to put on so not an issue for me. The lace holes have a couple of internal ridges that could potentially hurt by digging into outer ankles but I have found that with the right sock it is not a problem for me, just mentioning it because it could be a problem for some, depending on your foot and your use of the shoe. NB did not use eyelets and instead put stitching for the laces, which is what could cause the discomfort for the wearer.I found these to run true-to-size, and if anything would recommend a half size up as is normal with NB shoes, although I did not. I'm giving them a thumbs-up!
