A great cage
The Sony ZV-E10 is a pretty powerful but compact piece of harware and I know it's merketed at vlogged who no doubt want the camera and screen facing them - this cage doesn't get in the way of that and provides extra mounting points for things like a microphone. The built in-arca swiss plate means this can easily be attached to and removed from tripods - but that's the the stuff you expect from a Smallrig cage. However, the Smallrig cages I have for my other cameras did not come with a cable clamp, usually you have to pay extra for that so I was impressed with that. The cable clamp doesn't really add any extra functionality but it does and confidence as you know the HDMI cable is very unlikely to be pulled out by mistake which is useful if you're using a field monitor. This cage doesn't add an extra grip but it doesn't impdede the existing grip either. This is a great cage which I highly recommend, it will outlive your camera ad maybe even you as these things are well manufactured. However - if you are not wanting to mount anything to the camera (other than the existing hotshoe mount) then Smallrig make a baseplate and handgrip combo for the Sony ZV-E10 II which adds a gorgeous wooden handle and a nice solid base.

Very practical and good piece of kit.
Always been a big fans of Smallrig cages. The quality is great and feels like a very sturdy product.I love this cage as it does add some size to the camera, as a result I found it easier to hold. It also adds protection although it doesn't cover the whole camera i feel much more comfortable put the camera on the ground to take picture knowing the contact is with the cage rather than the camera.it also allows for many accessories that you can put on to create a custom rig.Love it overall.Hope you found my review helpful.

High quality cage for the Sony ZV-E10.
The SMALLRIG ZV-E10 II Cage Kit arrived neatly packaged in a printed cardboard box bearing the SmallRig branding. The cage is nicely finished and made from aluminium alloy and stainless steel. The ZV-E10 is held in the cage using a standard 1/4"-20 screw from the cage to the camera and is also held at the sides using adjustable M2.5 screws on both sides. The cage features multiple additional mounting options for accessories including a built in Arca style base plate and various 1/4"-20 threaded holes on all surfaces enabling the attachment of handles, microphones, lights, monitor etc.A versatile cage and simple upgrade for the Sony ZV-10 owner.

Adds Protection & Added Functionality.
First off, let me just say, this thing is solid! Like, it feels like it’s built to withstand some serious use. The metal construction instantly makes the camera feel more premium, which is always a nice bonus when you’re investing in gear. Now, what really sold me on this cage is the accessibility it provides. I can still access all the ports and controls without any annoying obstructions, which is a big win.The battery door opening is well thought out, and honestly, that little extra curve for your pinky finger? Game changer. It’s the little details like this that actually make shooting a bit more comfortable, especially on long vlogging days. One of the highlights for me is the built-in quick-release plate for Arca-Swiss.Switching between my tripod and handheld has become so much easier, and it saves a ton of time when I’m trying to capture different shots on the fly. The HDMI cable clamp is another cool feature. I used to get super paranoid about knocking my HDMI connection loose mid-shoot, but the clamp really secures it, so no more worries there. The fact that you can tighten it without needing any tools is a sweet touch—no hunting for a screwdriver in the middle of a shoot. While the cage does protect the camera and offers tons of mounting points, I did find the setup process a bit fiddly. The cage secures with multiple screws to prevent the camera from shifting, which is great for stability, but it can be a little tricky to get everything lined up just right. Once it’s on, it’s rock solid, but that initial setup might frustrate you if you’re like me and not the most patient with these things. Also, while the additional mounting points are super helpful, I found myself attaching too many accessories at once (lights, mic, handles), and suddenly, my sleek little vlogging setup felt like a full-blown rig. If you want to keep things lightweight and portable, you’ve got to resist the temptation to add every single accessory at once. One of the first things I noticed after attaching it is how much it transforms the feel of the camera. Without the cage, my Sony ZV-E10 II is lightweight and easy to carry, but it’s a bit slippery and doesn’t feel super sturdy in my hands, especially when I’ve got a bunch of stuff attached like a mic and external monitor. Once the cage was on, though, it felt like I was handling a mini-professional rig. The grip is improved, and the metal gives it a more premium, durable feel that gives you a bit more confidence when you’re out shooting.Overall, I’m super happy with this cage kit. It’s not perfect, but the pros definitely outweigh the cons for me. If you’re someone who shoots regularly, especially if you do vlogging or any kind of filmmaking where you’re constantly swapping between handheld, tripod, or stabilizer shots, this cage is going to make your life easier. The added protection, the extra grip, and all those mounting points are huge selling points. Just keep in mind the slight learning curve during setup and the added bulk if you like to keep things super lightweight.I hope this review helps someone out.
