Dyson Special Edition Airwrap Complete Long Multi-Styler in Strawberry Bronze and Blush Pink with Detangling Comb

I see a lot of people not thinking this works for fine, straight hair, but it does. It’s a matter of figuring out what combo of hair products works for you (I use hairitage curl enhancing foam, tresemme extra hold mousse, not your mother’s beach babe texturizing spray, and hairspray, everything inexpensive and purchased from walmart ). I use a golf ball size dollop for the mousse, half of that for the curl foam, both in wet hair and brushed through with a paddle brush. I took a shower prior to using this and shampooed only. No conditioner (no leave in either), whereas I normally would. I used the drying attachment to get it mostly dry (wet to touch, but dry enough where you could leave the house in a hurry), then I section. I use the texturizing spray (lightly or it’ll be crunchy) over a section, curling in half inch wide pieces. Larger pieces won’t curl. After each section is done, I spray with hair spray. I don’t brush out until I’m done, and instead of turning the air wrap off to pull the curl out, I let it go while it’s still on so it tightens the curl even more. I continue this way until all sections are done. I had accidentally used it on the lowest heat section the first time I used it so the curls were loose and only at the bottom so I went and re curled some pieces on high (my normal heat setting) towards the top to balance it out. I’m going on four hours and my hair has more body than it usually would by now. There’s also far less frizz and the curls settled better. Some people may have even better luck with wrapping each curl around a curler until the hair has completely cooled. I haven’t tried that method yet, since not doing it worked great for me. Other tips: If you have extremely long hair, the weight of the hair is going to pull down a curl regardless of hair weight. I cut my hair right before doing this (length is about mid chest, with layers) so I’m not sure how it would have worked before (similar length but no layers). You may need shorter hair to get the curls you want. The air wrap can still produce great volume with little effort! The air wrap is not going to curl your hair for you. Yes it’s expensive. Yes, some of you expect to be able to style with no effort. Not everyone is that lucky, and some of us (me included) have to do some of the work. Play around and figure out what works the best for you. It does take a bit of a learning curve! General pros: It’s lightweight! I cracked my wrist almost clean across a decade ago, so repetitive movement creates easy strain, which hurts. I can’t speak for those with arthritis, but this device is significantly lighter weight than most styling devices. It took me an hour to get my hair done, and there was no arm weakness/strain, nor any pain in my wrist. The case. I like that the device and attachments have their own slots. Everything tucks away nicely and neatly, and all pieces fit perfectly inside (as in, there’s no angry rearrangement because I can’t get the lid on). Variety of attachments! I’ve spent most of my life trying to find some sort of hair device that will make my hair pretty (those of you can go have annoyingly straight hair understand this lol). This replaces two of my curling irons, replaces my hair dryer round brush, and replaces a hair dryer. It works great to dry fine hair without it becoming a tangle fest. Cons: So far, the Coanda effect is a pain to learn. The airway refused to grab my hair if I picked up chunks that were too big. Once it was on, it was on, but I did have to play with the fan settings sometimes to get it to wrap my hair. I wouldn’t say this device is for “long” hair (at least not if you’re asking anybody who does have long hair). I think the length my hair is at now would be considered long-medium. Anyone who has longer hair would probably benefit from hair rollers, whether that be alone, or after using this device for an initial curl. The cooling shot is also the power button. While on, push that button up. I feel that it should have been added to the temperature options since it’s such an easily missed feature.

I love it! The technology really protects the health of my hair, and it dries my hair much faster compared to other tools. However, I wouldn’t recomen it for afro-textured hair or hair that tends to get very frizzy unless you finish styling with another heat tool like a flat iron. The Dyson Airwrap has been life-changing for me. I have naturally curly hair and now get ready so much faster. I even bought the extra diffuser attachment for when I want to wear my curls. With one tool I can smooth, curl, diffuse, and style, all without damaging my hair. My hair is noticeably healthier compared to when I used multiple hot tools. Yes, there’s a learning curve and the price is high, but the versatility, time saved, and healthier results make it worth every penny. Don’t waste money on multiple tools; this is truly the only one you need.

This product is amazing and my wife absolutely loves it, but they just do not last. If the price point was at $200 I’d maybe think differently, but for the extreme price, I was incredibly disappointed when the product stopped working after less than 18 months of use. I understand that these things need to be cleaned and maintained, but even with cleaning it after every use it still fails. I have become pretty good at cleaning these for my wife, and after a full dissection and reassembly it will go from lasting for 90 seconds to lasting around 15 minutes before shutting off, but it will always go back to failing after 90 seconds after a couple of days use. Usually love Dyson products, but they fell short with this one unfortunately. I hear about it from my wife every single day. Please don’t do this to all us husbands, Dyson

I love this hair dryer. I had no idea I would like it so much. It doesn't get too hot. It's so well thought out, it's oval so it doesn't roll off the counter. The attachments pop on and off easily. You only need one hand to use it, brush not necessary. I don't even separate the hair... I think it's fun to let it pick up what hair it takes and when you're done you have a great hairstyle. My hair is about shoulder length. It always looks well styled, smooth and full. It's a hair dryer that's actually good for your hair. I would definitely recommend this to anybody it's totally worth the money!

I have been wanting to get one of these for yeh longest time and I’m so happy to finally have one! It’s a great investment for someone who loves to style their hair. I had a shark before this one and that one nearly took my hearing out, this one has a way less noise level which I appreciate and the speed is superior to any others dryer I have used. It doesn’t damage my hair nearly as much as normal hot tools and it has made my hair so much softer. Such a fun product and easy to use. The pink color is also a must!

The Dyson Special Edition Airwrap is my new best friend. I am in love with how perfectly this product works. The quality of the barrel feels so solid heavy weight in your hand with the control buttons ergonomically located in the perfect spot. The Airwrap attachments each work like magic to transform my hair perfectly. Things that I noticed, leave your hair slightly damp when using the tools to get a better outcome. If you want your curls to last make sure to give them a cool shot and turn the device off before removing your curls from the tool. I have included pictures of the magical Dyson Airwrap in its included case along with pictures showing my hair just curled, fluffed out and the curls at the end of the day….. Just perfect!!!
