Securely Held Single-Lift Heavy Hood
Works as advertised and feels more secure than I though it would. I tightened the support clamp on the hood lift cylinder with modest force and tugged on the hood to test how easily it would slide down and it held firm. You want to make sure the clamp will hold but don't need to exert excessive force tightening the t-handle. Handling the lighter duty of holding up a trunk lid as well.Measure or research the diameter of your hydraulic lift cylinders before ordering, this clamp handles just over 10mm diameter strut rods, which just barely fit my heavy hood cylinder. After ordering I noticed similar models handle up to 14mm, so other vehicles like a large truck may need a larger lift support clamp.

So handy to keep the hood from falling
These are great for safety if working on a car with hood shocks. Also for tailgating in an SUV with shocks that hold the back up.
