This shampoo leans heavily into a scalp care and deep cleanse approach works very well in both regards. It does a solid job removing oil and buildup without feeling overly harsh while the sea salt grains gives it a scrubbing and exfoliation effect. The salt grains are fairly large, which makes it effective for scrubbing the scalp and breaking up residue from styling products and stuff like that. The scent is great. It’s fresh, slightly floral, and clean without smelling artificial or overpowering. Despite the higher price, the it is very thick and concentrated, so you only need a small amount per wash, which helps justify the cost in my opinion. Overall, it’s a strong option if you want something that deeply cleans, refreshes the scalp, and feels a bit more “treatment-like” than a standard shampoo.

I absolutely love the texture of this shampoo, it's silky and has a wonderful hydrating quality to it which is fantastic for something that really does help my scalp. My general experience with shampoos that are good for the scalp is that they are very drying and a bit harsh. This is not harsh at all, it very easily and quickly removes buildup but also is very hydrating, moisturizing, and calming to the scalp at the same time. I love the green tea component which adds caffeine to the scalp. It lathers really easily and that says something because I have hard water. I noticed that my 3C curl pattern looked absolutely lovely, uniform, and hydrated after using this shampoo. It gets the job done as far as my scalp but is gentle enough to use regularly as well. This is definitely not a low price point shampoo but for what it does and how little of it that I have to use per wash, I think the price is very relevant for what it is and therefore I think it is a very good value.
