It works. Someone indicated the batteries don’t fit ??? They fit fine, see the photo. There is a retainer near the center so you need to insert the lower battery first and slide it into position against the spring. I think most of the functions are present but some locations have changed so you will need to re-learn some of the buttons. Maybe that’s just me versus the prior remote. Maybe Panasonic has multiple layouts, I don’t know. Either way, you may not have the same layout as your prior remote. The overall feel is kind of “light” versus the prior one. Will it last ? I’ve had a problem with prior replacements loosing functionality on the most used buttons (channel up / down); let’s see how well this one holds up.Overall, it works but button locations have moved around and it feels very “average” in my hand.

The remote wouldn’t work it says no need for programming but it wouldn’t work the remote also says it takes AAA batteries which are way to small but 2 AA batteries fit. I’m sending this back

This remote does do what it advertises. It will apparently replace a Panasonic Plasma TV factory remote. It works like the original, but there's a downside. The case is not what I'd call a quality plastic. That's right. Unlike the original this remote's shell is made of a far more brittle plastic composition. The problem with this is when I dropped it on a hard floor the first day it cracked apart. I'm hoping to glue it back so at least I can have a fall-back unit. If the glue holds that may prove to be the case. I also am putting a layer of gaffers tape on the entire rear. Pretty much, at least in my case, a Frankenstein looking spare as I am going to spend more and get, hopefully, a more proper one. I give it 3-stars simply because aside from the inferior shell, it functions like my previous remote lost in a move.
