Updated Review!
I initially received a faulty product that had a manufacturing defect which was returned and replaced with a non faulty product. The faulty product I had Initially was unusable, however after we the returns/replace item was received I have updated my review based on the actual working version of the item. What can I say!The product is very sturdy, in fact it’s even more sturdy than I imagined. The legs click into place with a solid and satisfying “click” and line up perfectly. They move in elegant 15degree rotations that really do allow you to contort the stand into almost any position imaginable. The metal switch’s pull out smoothly and allow the stand to be placed into any position easily and more importantly safely while you work.Positives…Strong legs that click firmly into place!A sturdy adjustable table/stand/mount that can hold a lot of hardware!A sleek stylish look that is easy to configure!Light, portable can be used anywhere.Negatives.I think the price could be slightly adjusted. However I feel that price is somewhat justified as the build does indeed far exceed that of any other model I have seen, so I don’t feel it deserves to be marked down because of this. Conclusion…I give the product full marks based on its design, it’s build quality, it’s functionality, it’s portability and the materials used.Moving forward,I would love to see more colour choices, and perhaps even the ability to order custom colours.

but I'm glad I bought it as it's just what I was ...
Bought this over a year ago, and it's still going strong. I was a bit hesitant over the price, as there's so many other stands out there that look very wobbly for their price (as the last thing you want to do is put a very expensive computer on a stand that crumples up underneath it), but I'm glad I bought it as it's just what I was hoping for in a laptop stand. My laptop has been on it for pretty much that entire time, and it has yet to fall over, (though I have learned to keep an eye on the parts that keep the arms in their position as sometimes they get nudged and it shifts them a bit), and with the wholes in the surface, it helps keep the laptop cool as well. The printing of the degrees on each joint does wear away over time if you handle it a lot, such as the top joints where the legs meet the surface the computer sits on, and the bolt that keeps the mouse stand secure occasionally (like once a month-ish occasionally) has to be tightened, and if you've got a giant heavy laptop, then you may want to make sure it fits, but I've been more than happy with my purchase! Thanks!!

Good product.
Great product and very solid and once set up, quite a help. As with most things a few niggles which could be addressed. Very fiddly to set up and get on an even, horizontal plain. Easy to trap fingers in as well! Best not to try and set the laptop holder with the laptop on it as it tends to collapse suddenly and the computer slides off - so it takes a bit if guesswork and several trials to get the right position. I found that the lip against which the laptop rests is just too tall and wide to comfortably reach the Mac scratch pad (had to build it up on placemats). Personal preference, but don't like the glossy(ish) finish and especially the tacky bright chrome joints. Matt or lustre would have given it a more professional, quality look, given that it is not a cheap product. A greyish option would probably be quite nice too. May sound critical, but really useful and works well once set up.

Bit of a beast, but sturdy and does the job
Good points:1) Gives extra table space - you can place things (e.g. like full USB keyboard or books) underneath the stand (it's about 54cm between the stand's 'feet') without it getting in the way of a usb keyboard, which gives more desk space for junk and allows you to put (or stand up) books in front of your keyboard to take notes from easily.2) Very flexible in heights, goes very high - certainly high enough to try and force a straight back, if you're of average or lower-than-average height!3) Folds down flat.Bad points:1) Although I love the black/silver colour scheme of my stand, if I bought again I would probably buy the white version as it would give the illusion of more space on my desk and, more importantly, would be less distracting to the eye - I try and do eye exercises regularly by frequently focusing on things in the distance, but this is a little hard with a big black beast you can see from out of the corner of your eye!2) Fiddly and takes time to adjust heights, to the extent I definitely wouldn't want to be adjusting it each day.3) The degrees written on the joints to aid positioning are a bit confusing to use, which means I usually restore the stand to its original set-up (if I've changed it) just by guessing with good ol' fashioned sight, rather than the degrees. The locks can also get knocked out of place a bit by mysterious forces (never dangerously so though), so I sometimes have to push them back into place.4) Was hoping this would solve my poor posture, but unfortunately it hasn't - I think one needs to add exercises to improve back muscle strength for that. However, have no doubt that my laptop is much better on this stand than not.5) Because it's designed to fold down flat, the different sections of the legs aren't all in line and it makes the stand look a little mess/less elegant than it could be.6) Means you can't really have your desk right in front of a window, as it would promote eye strain and make eye exercises hard. This means the desk has to be moved, which in turn makes eye exercises harder as you may have to move to look out of the window.7) The lip on the front part of the stand, which stops the computer slipping off by almost covering the full 2.5cm depth of the bottom 'plate' of my laptop, also unfortunately blocks the microphone, recorder and SD card ports, which is a nuisance. Lucky, I can rest the front of my laptop onto of the lip, as the laptop has little feet, which stop it moving forwards, but not everyone will have this luxury. Therefore, I would defin suggest to the manufacturers to have sections of the lip omitted in the most common places where ports are put, to reduce the chances of the ports being blocked, as it could be a deal-breaker for some, especially if they live in shared accommodation. Conclusion: I still think it's expensive, but I don't regret my purchase, and would buy one again. Why? It folds down flat, gives lots of desk space, and most importantly, allows me to elevates my laptop to eye level (or above).
