This hole cutter is OK, but, it has just one small snag I used it to cut a hole in1 ins thick wood 3 ins dia. it was a bit dogdy using a hand drill as it kept snatching. So I set it up in my pillar drill. and here is the problem, the arms on the cutter clashed with the the drill colunm. so unless yuo have a bigger pillar drill with a distance greater between the colunm and the chuck that the arms on the cutter it can`t be used.

One blade cuts the outside of the circle and the other one cuts the inside, sounds ideal.The total thickness of the blades of the one I received totalled less than the thickness of the blade support, this means that uncut wood between the blades jams up against the blade support making cutting clean holes impossible. Also, the carbide? blades were not parallel to the blade support, they incline inwards - so again they cause binding.If you get a good copy, it may be suitable for holes in very thin soft materials - but not much else. Poor product.

Even working with softwood and at the recommended speed (less than 800rpm) this "cutter" ripped and splintered the wood when trying to cut a 100mm hole. Returned for refund. Avoid this product.

I haven't had chance to use it yet, however it looks the business. Well worth the money.
