Excellent book. A few typos in the Kindle version.

This title is available in English as "The Gardens of Light", but for those who can read this author in French his language and style are a joy. His Lebanese origins give him an unusually broad view of an area of the world which is such a baffling puzzle to the West at this time.This fictionalized account of the life of Mani, and his martyr's death, is written with great simplicity and clarity, and allows the facts to speak for themselves with only the lightest fictional touch applied to bring everything into sharp focus. A very moving piece of writing.
