Nokia C3-01 Sim Free Mobile Phone - Silver

Although 5 years old my existing Motorola phone was still working I was finding it difficult to read messages on the small screen without hunting for my specs so decided to look for a phone with a larger screen and keys also a better camera.After reading many reviews on Amazon the Nokia C3-01 seemed to fit my criteria, I have never used a touch screen before so was not sure how I would get on with it but need not have worried. I chose the sim free/unlocked option because I wanted to be able to change network if needed as I have been having signal issues from my house with my existing network.I think this phone is a good transition, the keys are very easy to use and amazingly I have hardly needed to look at the manual as the phone is very easy to navigate even for this technophobe. The camera is very good although I have yet to see the photos on my computer screen as I am still waiting for an adapter I have ordered. You cannot take many photos on the camera's memory but can add a micro SDHC card up to 32 GB, however I have only put 4GB card in as I always save my photos on a memory stick.The phone itself seems robust but sleek, I cannot comment on playing music or downloading as I am unlikely to use these facilities, however I was surprised at the volume and sound quality of the radio which is far louder than my net-book so I can see myself using the radio while out in the garden, you do have to plug the supplied earphones in to act as an arial but do not need to have them in ones ears. All in all I am very pleased with my purchase so far.

Ordered this product twice from Gifts4U, first problem mobile would not charge, 2nd mobile faulty keyboard. Been trying to contact Gifts4U to arrange refund since 8th April and to date no satisfactory response. Very disappointing, quick enough to take my money but nowhere to be seen when I have a problem. Good job I am a member of Which as this will be my next port of call

I bought this phone as I only wanted a cheap phone, I'm not bothered with paying £500 for an iphone or samsung galaxy...Pro's - the battery is very good, it's nice to have a keypad and touch screen, they work well together. Build quality is good, call quality is not bad but can sometimes be quiet I guess. It looks decent enough for a basic phone and you can add a memory card to increase storage.Cons - As above, call quality is only average and is often not loud enough even with volume at maximum. There aren't many features here either, I tried using the internet on it once, but really, don't bother as it's not good. The camera is apparently 5mp, but the quality frankly is terrible, so do not under any circumstances buy it for the camera. Video is even worse than still shots so avoid altogether, I use an ipod touch for that so it's redundant on this phone.The layout of the screens smacks of cost saving on design, it's extremely basic throughout all menus and options.To sum up, it's well built, looks decent and has a good battery, which is pretty much all I wanted anyway!

I bought this phone when my old phone (8 year old) finally died and I bowed to peer pressure to modernise... I was worried that I would not cope with the modern technology, but bit the bullet and bought this phone as it seemed to offer the best of both worlds - having big enough buttons for a ham fisted technophobe to operate, but also modern day stuff like t'internet. In short, it was every bit as good as it claims to be. The metal casing stood up to the rough treatment everything I own gets, the screen is big and bright so you can see it, the touch screen responds appropriately - even with my sausage fingers, the technology was decipherable to an egit and I even figured out how to get different songs assigned as ring tones to different people which is probably old hat now, but was very exxciting for me...Unfortunately, I lost it after a few weeks and have had to order a new one. I liked it so much, I've not even looked at what else is out there and just ordered a replacement. If Nokia could improve this phone, it would drive itself home when lost.. otherwise, I can't fault it.

Delivered withen 4 days of ordering this phone. Really nice phone, very easy to use, this is my first experiance with a touch screen phone and found it really easy to navigate, the only downfall is you have to touch the screen a couple of times sometimes to get it to work, but dont let that put you off. Its a very sturdy phone with a fabulous camera, battery life very good only seem to charge it twice a week and i use it a lot !!! I recommed this to all ages, a really good looking phone and at a very resonable price. . . thanks amazon !!!!

I sold this phone after a week , I should have known better , the Internet is poor , it also arrived in black when I ordered stainless / not all suppliers fault as they would have changed it ,I just didn't like the phone probably my worst nokia

I still have the mobile phone, still working. By mistake I threw away the charger and it was sad. The phone has a sentimental value.

This particular model stopped working after a few months of light use, shame as the phone itself is really good. The touch screen stopped working and when I tried to contact the seller they ignored me. Rubbish customer care.
