Easy to install. 10-year battery life a major plus.
Great "set and forget" smoke detector. The only detail missing in the instructions is the installation of the drywall anchors. Most folks are familiar with these, however. I usually drill a hole that's too small initially, and slowly enlarge it until the anchors fit snuggly. If you start out with holes that are too big, well, the detector will hide your mistake for the next 10 years.

Random alarms all night
We bought 6 of these 5 months ago. The last 3 months they just go off randomly, usually in the middle of the night of course. It's very upsetting for our family and our pets. My husband has to get a tall ladder out at 4 am while I you to keep the family calm. I'm passed my return window now well.
