Dr. Denmark Said It!

I fully respect the work the doctor has done in her lifetime but advice in here seems very outdated and old-fashioned (not in a good way). Lost me at home made enemas. I didn’t finish and would have returned it had I not forgotten it was still in my ebook library beyond return date.

I love this book. Solid, old-fashioned advice from a old-school pediatrician.I've bought multiple copies of the previous version (with the colors on the front) and handed them out to new-mother friends. I picked up this "new" copy when my second kid was born and while 98% the same as the previous edition, it has a few extras.I highly recommend this book to all new mothers...both kids sleeping through the night before 1mo of age, kid on a schedule so mom has (some) sanity, and all around great advice.

I had heard about her from everyone. I bought the book. Tried it when my child was 4 and 1/2 weeks old...two nights of crying a bit, then SLEEPING THROUGH THE NIGHT!!!! She is 7 months now and is doing great eating and sleeping. It helps to understand shots as well. My good friend used her with all 5 of her different children and it help them all sleep. She did it right away (compared to me starting a few weeks after birth).Easy to read, I go back often.We buy it for all our friends; first time parents, third time parents, etc. :)

Loved this book. The schedule was very helpful. I did not agree with everything, but for a first time Mom I found it helpful and we had our little guy on a schedule within the first week of his life. Amazing!

Baby enemas!? Don’t feed your fresh NEWBORN between 10p and 6a as soon as you get them home!? Start with purées at 4 MONTHS and wean them from milk at 8 months!? ALWAY PUT BABY TO SLEEP ON STOMACH!?!?! Bad advice after bad advice that is dangerous and goes against years of actual scientific data for baby well-being. Read through this book and am returning!! Do not buy!

I love this book. Dr. Denmark is about 113 years old and I went to her when I was a child. I also took my son to her. She is an amazing lady and has helped millions of people through the years. She has so many good suggestions for raising children.Book came in perfect condition.Thanks,Ann Bowes

A must have for all young mothers. Good, old fashioned, advice. The book was in great condition for being used.
