This is a well-made box. The wood is really beautiful and it's sometimes hard to find actual walnut items these days. The joinery is perfect with no gaps or flaws.The lid opens smoothly and also has a couple of small, recessed magnets which keep the lid shut even when the lock is not engaged - smart!The lock is all metal, as is the key. It's a simple lock but it works and should keep curious children out of one's jewelry.The inside is lined with a velvet-like material that protects what you put inside. While you *can* remove some of those dividers, you will expose some unfinished edges by doing so - see photos.Overall, it's a really nice box that holds a good amount of small items. The wood is really nice!

Okay, it's not often I'm surprised. I often pick up items like this to engrave as gifts. When I opened the box, I was quite surprised at the quality of this jewelry box. The wood and finish are beautiful, the top is held down magnetically, and it has a locking mechanism. All joints are flush and filed, the liner is a perfect fit and when they say solid walnut, they aren't kidding. Even the inset bottom is walnut. Clearly no cut corners in production. All of the key things that demonstrate slightly lesser quality assurance in manufacturing are absent in this box. I'm highly impressed and will set this one aside for a very special gift.

Nice construction inside and out. Lots of compartments and pouches for storing your jewelers. One of the dividers is removable/movable for a little customization. The lock is a nice touch if you need it. The lock is metal but the key is plastic so I was a little disappointed with that.

I appreciate fine craftsmanship. For that reason, this jewelry box hit all my buttons for attention to detail. Its fit and finish are easily 5-stars. Everything fits together just perfect.The inclusion of four tiny opposing recessed magnets on the box and lid, that prevent the lid from accidentally opening, are a thoughtful feature. The interior is well-thought-out and attractive.The brass key is more cosmetic than functional. If I were a thief, I'd steal the whole box for its beauty. I can easily see this jewelry box becoming a family heirloom.

Although my daughter loves necklaces, rings, earrings, and bracelets, her collection has far outgrown her tiny jewelry box. Thus, she was very pleased when I ordered this beautiful jewelry box for her. Along with providing plenty of room for all of her silver and gold accessories, it is a well-constructed box that is perfect for organizing her wide assortment of jewelry. In this regard, she was particularly delighted to with the both the ring compartments and built-in necklace hooks. Overall, this is a top-quality box. Highly recommended!

The craftsmanship on this box is lovely. The wood (walnut) has a smooth finish and is stained a chocolate brown. Inside are felted compartments that have removable dividers, a long pocket for a watch or bracelet and hooks to hang necklaces. The lid has magnets to keep it closed and includes a lock and key as well. It's a simple design that would look good with any decor.

WHAT A THOUGHTFUL AND EXCELLENT GIFT THIS WOULD MAKE!I replaced an ancient (crappy) jewelry box and treated myself to this absolutely stunning one!--This "jewel" of a jewelry box is about the size of a hardcover book.--The amount of compartments are not abundant, but they perfectly meet my (downsized) needs for storing rings, necklaces, bracelets, etc. in a lovely container. No more pieces lying around in various places.--The solid walnut wood is EXQUISITE, the construction is solid and flawless.--There are 2 tiny magnets that keep the lid secure.--The included key operates smoothly.The only tiny comment I have is that I don't want to scratch the beautiful wood to pry up the top....so I will come up with some sort of pull tab to prevent that.A REAL WINNER--VERY HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
