Specially designed to meet the needs of law enforcement professionals, the SureFire G2X LE is a higher-output version of our best-selling G2X Pro that leads with high output on its first press or click. It features a high-performance LED that generates a max output of 400 lumens of blinding white light focused by a parabolic reflector into a versatile beam with significant reach and ample surround light for maintaining good situational awareness, crucial in law enforcement. At its lower output the G2X LE produces a useful 15-lumen beam that provides extended runtime on a set of batteries, for tasks that don’t require as much light. A click-style tactical tailcap switch controls the light’s output--simply press or click to unleash all 400 lumens in momentary- or constant-on mode, an important feature for law enforcement applications where instant access to maximum output provides a tactical advantage. Return to off and press or click again within two seconds for G2X LE’s lower-output 15-lumen beam. Featuring a lightweight, durable Nitrolon polymer body designed for a secure hold, a Mil-Spec hard-anodized aluminum head, and O-rings and gasket seals to keep out moisture and dust, the G2X LE is as rugged as it is functional. It makes an ideal duty light for anyone who wears a badge-or a perfect everyday-carry light for anyone who demands a professional-grade flashlight that’ll take on just about any situation.

THESE ARE FAKE
I called Surefire due to a broken end cap. they asked me if the body of light was shiny or flat black. Its shiny they advised these are fake. surefire is flat black.and the rear cap they sent me for replacement did not fit since it not to surefire spec and a fake.

Flashlight received was 320 lumen, NOT 600
Problem: Amazon is grouping multiple versions of a product on the same page with selection boxes that are 'supposed to' switch context to that specific product. This does not work well at times. It is difficult to associate reviews with with specific product. The flashlight I ordered was spec'ed at 600 lumens. I saw packages that were labeled that way from other vendors. The drawing showed the flashlight 10" long, obviously erroneous. It has been changed to 6.8". THE FLASHIGHT IS 5" LONG! The flashlight I received was packaged exactly like the ones from other vendors, except is is 320 lumens, NOT 600. This is unacceptable.I have a Surefire G2, yellow, that is great. I've had it for 15 years. I discovered after I received the G2X Pro that my G2 is only 100 lumens. I did not want 600 lumens - I have a Surefire P3X Fury that is 1000 lumens, and is too bright for most purposes. The 320 lumen version I received is what I really wanted, and it is great!IT SHOULD SAY THAT IN THE AMAZON DESCRIPTION.

Light, tough, and very bright.
You know the LED headlights on cars that blind you? This is the hand held equivalent. This really puts out a beam. While my use is probably not PC for you, it is mounted on a rifle to handle a coyote problem on my place where night time raids are common. They definitely see the light at the end of the tunnel, and it is an oncoming train.

Awesome Light
Wow! What an improvement over the original G2. Much brighter with 320 lumens. I like the tail switch with click on/off or press in for momentary light. Also "Mastiff Press On-off Tactical Remote Switch" Fits this light. Haven't verified run time yet but all the reviews i've read say its good. The old G2 had a turn switch so I replaced it with the G2X switch and it works perfectly. Great value for the price and it comes with batteries.

Awesome light...but not for everyone
i'll keep this shortit's a Surefire, so it's quality....The reason i say it's not for everyone is because of the switch set up..1st light touch -- momentary on Low2nd light touch --momentary on High1 solid click --on Low2 solid clicks --on Highthis is IMO a very particular set up..There is no I repeat NO 'manual momentary High"..as if you are trying to do your own 'strobe' effect...it will go Low - High - Low -High -Low - High...etcthis click system works for me perfectly and my needs..Thank You Surefire

Awesome little flashlight.
This was recommend by a co-worker. Awesome little flashlight! Fits well in hand, even with gloves on. The green is a bit different, compared to the normal black. It is easy to find in your pack. Not as easy as orange, but a whole lot easier than black. It has a secure grip without being course. On high, the light is ridiculously bright. The low setting is more applicable for general use. The tail cap takes a little getting use to, however. The settings change depending on how far, and how fast, you press the switch. All of my other flashlights that have selectable output, regardless of company, operate the same way: tap for momentary high, click down for constant high, tap again to cycle through setting, i.e. high, low, strobe, S.O.S. With the G2X's switch: press for momentary-on low, click for constant-on low, return to off then press or click again for high. This one is by no means bad. Just different. With a bit of practice, you get the hang of it. It comes down to more of a muscle memory thing. 20+ years of using flashlights, go figure.

Surefire continues to impress
This is my second Surefire flashlight. I've owned several other decent LED lights (Olight, Fenix, etc), and this is by far my favorite brand. It's simple, and it works. My only gripe is that I am unable to use the rechargeable 18650 batteries like in other lights. The body of the light is not shaped wide enough to fit the slightly wider batteries. But, I have a decent supply of cr123a so that helps.I do like the fact that at first press of the tailcap switch, I am on low beam mode. Second tap gives me the higher output. For awhile I walked a lot at night (fitness) and this gave me the chance to see what was in front of me without the blinding light, unless I needed it.The spill is good - not too focused and not too wide.Overall a good light worth the money. Simple, easy to use, reliable, and so far pretty efficient.

Super bright, dual intensity beam and great battery life.
Great flashlight. I bought an earlier version of this flashlight a few years ago for use in my shop when I needed a high intensity light for various fine detail projects. It was great. However the batteries were so expensive that I did wonder about operating cost! But this hasn't been a problem. You can get a good price on batteries if you shop around and buy a dozen. Also, the batteries seem to last almost forever. This G2X version is much the same as my first flashlight, except it now has a push button on one end that comes on first on low intensity, and if you turn it off and on again within a few seconds, it comes back at full intensity. Really good idea, as the high beam is too bright for many everyday uses, and using the low beam extends the battery life a great deal. I don't think the manufacturers claims about battery life are any exaggeration. In my opinion these SureFire flashs are worth every penny.
