Great! Does everything you expect...just measure before you order!!!
I have a 2011 gmc Yukon with he factory raised side rails. Every fitting guide said the 50" were needed and it made sense being a full size SUV. Due to my own neglect, I ordered the wrong size..I should have ordered the 44". The fitting guides assume you have the q-tower set up (the a 50" would work) but the fairing does not sit inside the rails if you have the factory side rails....Anyway, I ordered this because the noise was horrible, yes it was cool at first, yes I got used to it, but after taking a few early summer trips on the freeway it just sucked. Some reviews say the fairing doesnt help much at all but from my experience it has been completely quite at 70mph...It really gave me back the "new car" comfort of a smooth and quite ride (I went from an older stlye truck with lift, tires, etc). If you have the cross bars and want to leave them on top in between trips, then this is a must have product...just make sure you pull out the measuring tape before ordering!

A must have!
So the reason i bought this wind fairing is because i put some roof racks on my 98 honda civic, i wanted to make it look nicer, but there were two problems, the wind hitting the cross bar made an annoying sound and they were just not that good looking.I found this wind faring and decided to purchase, the installation is super easy, no brainer, it took me about 15 minutes to get it on the roof racks. It made a big difference on my car, it just looks amazing on it, it gives it a whole different look and that annoying wind sound is gone for good.I would not have roof racks without a wind fairing, you dont have to buy this one any will do but it is a must have!

Eliminates the noise!
Who would think a simple piece of plastic could do so much? As others have written, this fairing is a must. It absolutely reduces (if not eliminates) the roof vibrations on my 2015 Jeep Cherokee. I drove the rack around for two weeks prior to putting the fairing on so I would have a baseline with and without. Above 35 mph, the down draft from the bars causes the sheet metal in the roof to oscillate producing a humming noise or "angry bees" as one reviewers children noted. The wind fairing deflects the air over the bars and, thus, eliminates the down draft. I will note that I had a Yakima rack on my 1995 4Runner for 20+ years and never needed a fairing.

Incorrect Clips received
I ordered the Yakima roof rack with Q-Stretch kit, load stops, straps and fairing. I drive a 2001 Honda Civic Coupe. There is a lot of wind noise from the roof rack - the whole ceiling of the car vibrates - and I was hoping the fairing would reduce it a little.I ordered it from Amazon LLC and it arrived with incorrect mounting clips. Because of the shape of the fairing, the two inner clips are shorter than the two outer clips. I received four outer clips - and it appears no fairing made by Yakima requires four of these clips. There is no way to install the fairing with the mounting hardware received.I contacted Amazon (using the 'call you back' feature - which was great), but the woman on the phone had no idea at all what I was talking about and kept asking what needing fixing on my vehicle. She said I could return the product for a refund and then order a new one, as there was no way I could just get new mounting hardware.I then contacted Yakima directly. Within a few minutes, the service rep had ordered a new mounting kit for me free of charge. I'm currently waiting for it and will update when (and if) received. Yakima service (twice contacted) has been absolutely fantastic - it's great to talk to a real person who knows what they are talking about.Receiving incorrect mounting hardware isn't good, and Amazon's solution by returning everything and reordering the fairing isn't necessarily time effective.

Can be a PITA if you get unlucky with incorrect fastener sizes...
The fairing itself looks good on my 2004 Tacoma. However, I was really disappointed with the pieces mine came with to assemble it. It comes with plastic specialty fasteners that once pressed in will not come back out. The problem was that two out of the four fasteners they sent did not even fit in the pre-drilled holes where you connect the fairing to the brackets/mounts. So, I either A, had to drill the holes larger, or B had to go to the hardware store to buy more plastic fasteners and hoped they fit. So, I took a trip to the hardware store thinking that would be easiest, but quickly found out that none of the hardware stores around here had black plastic fasteners, just grey ones. So then I had to spray paint the grey fasteners black. Two evenings of visiting hardware stores, new fasteners and black plastidip later I finally had black fasteners ready to go and was able to mount the fairing to my roof rack. A pretty big PITA, and extra time and money for such a simple issue that should come done correct from the factory!
