Perfect Gift
Bought as a gift for my child. Arrived undamaged, and looks brilliant. Can't wait to give it to them for their birthday.

Bot good, Plane bad
Bought this Blitzwing repaint as it was in a sale, and didn't fancy the full tag enough to get it otherwise. Another review here tells us of it's flaws, the plane cockpit poking out of the end of the tank, the visible odd coloured head in view, and jet mode looks stupid, looks like a seeker had got a magnet underneath and was transporting half a tank , clumsy aircraft that would never make it into the air if real. That said, in bot mode he really is quite good, so poseable and a really decent robot, credit where its due. Good height to it in this scale line, stands taller than the likes of the likes of Starscream and co. and the coneheads, same height as Studio Series Soundwave, so just a tad shorter than Megatron and Galvatron from Studio line (and Galvatron from Legacy too, same mold) this puts him around the height of Rodimus Prime from Seige line, so quite impressive height amongst his peers. Overall a good purchase, still not gonna part with 53.99 for his model, Blitzwing, this bot isn't THAT good! But a solid 8/10 👌

Better than Blitzwing?
You can insert your own joke about the character's name and the cost of modern toys here. With that out of the way, I really like this toy! The muted tones of silver and military green hide a lot of the design quirks of this figure, which was originally used for Blitzwing. As with that figure, the robot mode is excellent. A great chunky thing with a couple of shooty pipes and big plue pointy stick. He's got a bunch of joints so can do all the cool poses and looks pretty awesome. The transformation is a bit over-egged here and there, but it all works well in a pleasing series of flips, twizzles and clacks. The two alternate modes are a bit clumsy looking; the tank for having the jet cockpit poking our a little bit too far (the robot head being bright blue is also somewhat visible in this mode) - never was something so aptly named. The jet just looks likes it's got an accident stuck to it's underside. Overcharge is, like Blitzwing, so close to being nearly great but just feels like the clever dickery of the design team has got in the way. Those silly boxing glove missile pods or whatever they are can jog on. Clearly there to fulfill the piece count of the price point, they're pointless adornments and a waste of resource. I still like it though, flaws and silly pack-ins and all.
