Very good product
The built quality is really good and it is very easy to use and it works really well. The buttons are simple to understand, and the preset options are useful for daily cooking. The design is quite sleek and it makes it easy to store and does not take a lot of space. Overall its a good product and worth buying. The temperature goes all the way upto 2100 watts and it makes cooking faster and efficient which will help to save on power consumption also.

Received used unit + early errors (E3/E6) not reliable for daily Indian cooking
I bought the Philips HD4995 induction cooktop during the recent LPG shortage when prices were high (around ₹5500). Unfortunately, my experience was disappointing. Packaging & condition: The outer box was not in good condition, and the product inside looked like it had already been opened. It did not feel like a factory-sealed unit. Also, one of the bottom grips was missing, which made the cooktop slightly unstable on the surface. Initial performance: For the first few days, it worked fine. I used it to cook multiple dishes (3–5 items on the first day), and heating seemed okay. Issues after a few days: Within 5 days, I started getting E3 and E6 error codes, especially while using a pressure cooker. This is not expected from a new product under normal use and made me question the unit’s reliability. Cooking performance: For boiling and basic cooking, it works But for chapati/roti, performance is inconsistent Even at high power (2200W manual mode), heating drops or cycles, likely due to thermal protection This makes cooking uneven and frustrating for Indian dishes Overall concerns: Suspected returned/used unit Missing part (bottom grip) Early error codes (E3/E6) Inconsistent heating for real cooking needs Because of these issues, I chose to return the product. Amazon offered a refund as replacement was not available. The product might work if you get a proper sealed unit, but based on my experience, quality control and consistency are questionable. Not ideal for heavy or regular Indian cooking, especially at this price.

Low quality product with no service
My product stopped working while still under warranty, yet despite contacting customer service multiple times, I have received no resolution. Even though they are one of the largest and oldest companies in the industry, they lack proper customer support. Induction cookers are prone to issues, so I recommend buying them from local shops where repairs are handled more easily under warranty. Furthermore, a Philips product is only worth buying if there is a functional service center nearby

Best addition to the kitchen
This philips induction stove is a really great addition to my kitchen setup. It blends well with the kitchen slab. It is heavy in weight and the quality feels reassuring. It cooks at a much higher speed than the normal gas stove. It is also very easy to use and anyone can use it easily. It has gotten a few useful modes which can be controlled using the touch panel buttons. It goes from 120w to 2100w.
