Tromlycs Sofa Cushion Support for Sagging Seat Trapezoidal Furniture Seat Under Couch Cushion Sag Repair Set of 3

I ordered these to hopefully extend the life of a set of hand-me-down sofas we can't quite afford to replace right now. It used to feel like you'd sink to the floor when you say on them, and they would swallow you so deeply it felt impossible to get up from them, especially when I was immediately postpartum and now that I'm again 7mos pregnant. I can tolerate sitting on the sofa again and it's no longer daunting to get up from it! The cushions sit more evenly, too, so the living room doesn't look nearly so sloppy. I recommended my mother get a set, since she's been (unsuccessfully) attempting to prolong the life of her sofa by stuffing pillows under the cushions.

I know my couch has seen better days and while I didn’t really think it had reached the point of “sagging”, I would say there was a little less… “cushion” in the cushions, lately. After putting one of these in, though, I’m absolutely stunned at what a difference it makes! I was clearly in denial and -with the support of my like-new cushions- I am finally ready to admit: my couch was definitely sagging.As for the more technical info:The package arrived vacuum-packed, as you might expect with foam like this. I opened it up to let it "breathe", as recommend, then measured it to confirm that the size is as indicated: 20”x20”x2” (the sections/panels creating the trapezoid effect are approx equal @ about 6.75-7” each). I consider my couch to be on the smaller side of “standard”. I did not need to trim it at all and it’s not visible or sticking out, anywhere. Especially given the possibilty/option to trim, I would say these could pretty much fit any size couch.

My couch is old and both ends are sagging. I have a favorite spot that was looking scooped out it. So when I saw this, I thought to give it a try. Had bought new foam rubber for the cushions, but the sagging was still there. When this arrived, I followed the instructions for getting it back to normal after the vacuum packing and left it sit for 2 days. It feels nice and firm. There was little to no smell to it after unpacking it.I lifted my couch cushion and slipped it underneath. I sat down on it and could tell right away that it was more firm feeling than it had been for a long while now. I had to adjust the positioning of the support cushion a few times to get it just right though. The first couple tries, when I sat down, it felt like I was on a sloped seat to tip me off onto the floor, lol. I pulled it out towards the front of the couch so that about a quarter inch was peeping out from under my cushion and that raised the front edge enough to get rid of the tilt. I use a couch cover on my old couch anyway, so I was not worried about seeing the little bit of blue peeking out from under my cushion.All in all, for a small amount of sag in your couch, I think this would do wonders. My couch has more than a small amount, so it was not a fix for mine. I am using it though and added some other fillers to level the extreme sag mine has. Might be nice if they could make these in different thicknesses.I can recommend this support cushion. It helps and I think it is a lot better than the old way of fixing it with those extendable board type options.

My large 3-seater (2 cushion) sofa is very comfortable, but although I've had it now for about 10 years, and it has begun to sag a little bit on the side I sit most often, it still has a lot of life left in it. However, it has been bothering my back of late, which is why I ordered this foam support.It came wrapped tightly in plastic, but unfurled into shape pretty quickly - within no more than a couple of minutes. I placed it flat side down under the cushion. It felt weird! As I said, my sofa is comfortable as the cushions are soft, so the support sticks up and feels hard to sit on. Plus, the thing is slanted and only offers a small elevated seating area, thus anyone over 8 years old may well find that their behind ends up half on the slope, and that isn't comfortable. In the end, I flipped it over, and now the flat side is what I sit on. It's a bit better, but still not what I had expected.Maybe I'm like the princess and the pea, but unless your sofa is quite hard you too may find this support more uncomfortable than you want or need.

This foam cushion support arrived tightly rolled up but plumped up as soon as I opened the package. It is made of firm foam that does not compress too much when you sit on it. My sofa is less than two years old, but it had a low spot because I'm a creature of habit and I always tend to sit in the same place! I put this foam support under the cushions and it helped a lot. The low spot is no longer visible, and when I sit on that spot, the cushion now feels firmer and more supportive.If you have a severely sagging chair or sofa, this is not the cushion you need, but if--like me--you have a sofa or chair that is sagging down an inch or two, this is exactly what you need to make it look new again. It will also make it feel more comfortable.

The foam came in tightly rolled and was recommended to air out for 48 hours to shape up. I didn't notice any smells and after the time had passed the wrinkles were gone and the middle part is pretty firm.I got this for the back end of the chaise on a combo sofa with has busted supports and I turned it lengthwise since it's a lot smaller than the section's width. The difference in firmness was night & day and it feels very sturdy and usable now. It probably would've been better to get one of those full-length support mats but this sufficed.

I have these on the chaise portion of my chofa and they work very well. I ordered this one because I've been spending alot more time on the middle section of the couch and the cushion needed some support. I put this under that middle cushion on delivery day and the comfort level went up exponentially. I'm spending even more time on the chofa than before. This support foam is extending the life of this inexpensive piece of furniture beyond what it probably was supposed to. I can put off shopping for a new chofa for a while.

Works as intended- just make sure you follow the instructions. I opened mine on back porch and let it sit for 48 hours. After that it was reshaped, full and firm. Works great to support a sagging area due to weakening springs.
