Bought it by accident, thrilled to have made the mistake
I acually bought the wrong model by accident instead of a more current model of G16 and I've been thrilled with it and ended up rabbit holding down product reviews and differences between models of the G16 over time to decide if it was worth returning it, given the restock fee. I was somewhat surprised to discover that the hardware in this model is actually beefier than the year I'd intended to purchase. The model immediately after it made the decision to reduce performance to create a thinner, cooler model - which is a very reasonable choice to make - but I really prefer performance over form factor when we're talking about a gaming laptop. I had already been making the active choice to buy last-generation technology to get high end performance at an affordable price, so discovering that I accidentally purchased a more effective machine than I'd intended to buy at a steal of a price was actually a huge win. Positives: - Armory Crate makes optimization easy for choosing performance or battery life - Hard drives are easy to install if you want increased storage capacity (it is SIGNIFICANTLY cheaper to install a second, larger HD than it is to just increase the HD size of the stock model you're buying.) - 4070 graphics card CONS - High end gaming kills the battery life. If you're planning on gaming - just expect to be plugged in - will get hot on your lap if you've not elected to fiddle with the fans, and higher fan settings will sound like the laptop is taking flight if you forget to turn them on quiet setting while not gaming - Significantly thicker than current G16 laptops. I'd overall say that its a highly functional machine optomized the the performance most users would require. Don't splurge on the install HD, the base model storage is more than sufficent, and just buy a 4tb to install in the second HD slot for actual gaming.

Great value and performance
Nice medium power gaming computer. I don't even game that much, but I like the speed and storage. When I do game, it's very smooth and the graphics are solid. The sound is average, which is my only minor complaint, but I use headphones primarily when I game, so not much of a factor. The price/value ratio is exactly what I hoped. I bought a accessory fan to put under and it runs smooth and stays cool. Highly recommend the fan..

Best Laptop for the money
I buy these in bulk now. These laptops are just so well designed and functional. We don't use them for gaming we use them for presentations and working from home. In a pinch I got 3 monitors running off of one of these for months. Great machine great design.

Doesn't have an OLED display
Amazing laptop but it gets a 3 start because it's not an OLED even though it says it is in the title and description

Good performance
Purchased for my 15 year old grandson. Easy setup. It’s been great but buy the extended maintenance contract. Third year seems to be crucial on laptops.

Product good, Packaging opened before and damaged
The laptop is good, powerful and fast but I record the package with damaged box, scratches and adhesive marks on plastic covering of the laptop. Seems like the package was opened before. Fortunately no damage on laptop itself but it did have missing accessories like stickers and booklets.

Laptop is NOT OLED
Everything about the laptop is accurate on the product page, but beware as the screen is not OLED. I contacted the seller and the support was amazing, they compensated the situation very quickly. That's why I leave a good review even if the advertising for the display is false. They told me they would fix the listing, but just in case for future buyers checking the reviews, the screen is not OLED.
