I bought this and have been testing my bettas tank with it. ITS NOT ACCURATE. It has been telling me the PH is at 8+ so I treated for high ph and turns out my ph is actually at a 6 now which is way too low and my betta is sick!!! HORRIBLE! VERY DISAPPOINTED

This is perfect for my needs. I make salsa and hot sauces, so knowing the PH for each batch to ensure shelf stability is very important. Set up was simple.

The first one of these that I bought didn't work at all, but for the price I thought I'd take a chance on another. It is accurate to 3 digits but it drifts like crazy so it's more like 2 digits. I have to calibrate it every time I use it and the instructions say the bulb can't be allowed to dry out. This is good for precision work but usually paper strips are good enough.

Bought this meter expecting to upgrade to another, but I'll try it just to see how well it works out as sometimes you can find a Gem on Amazon. This was not the case with this Meter. First thing I noticed was Calibration, it worked Okay, but started drifting after 3~5 of days of use. So recalibrate it every 5 days? Then after 70 days of use (after return window), it started giving me wild, erratic readings of known solutions. Did every thing by the book. Stored the sensor tip with a Distilled Water wick to keep it moist. Rinsed in fresh Distilled Water and dried between measurements. Gave it 30~90 seconds to stabilize while gently stirring the solution under test without knocking the tip against the vessel. Trusted this Meter at first until it started becoming erratic. Fortunately in never grew anything of value using this POS

I really didn't know. The numbers on the calibration solutions didn't get as high as the instructions directed to set the meter with..I guess it's close enough? Or the powders for the solutions were out of date? Beats me.

I bought this after seeing this type of product recommended on You Tube by the lady from Rosewood Homestead. I was frustrated using litmus paper to test the ph of the products I was canning because it never read any different no matter what I tested. This product is a god send. I now feel comfortable water bath canning knowing the ph of my product is in the safe zone. It is calibrated by the factory and I’ve had it a year and it is still calibrated. It comes with products to calibrate on your own but I really don’t understand the instructions so I’m thankful I haven’t had to do that. It’s easy to use, and has a sturdy case.
