After years grinding a heavy all steel bread knife through sourdough, this knife is a literal breath of fresh air. The handle has a classic design, that reminds me of a bread knife my Mum would have had in the kitchen in the 60’s. The ergonomic form, balance and weight are all great assisting in a straight forward smooth slicing process. Really pleased and now considering purchasing further items from the same range.

Brilliant knife for cutting bread

Wow. I feel an idiot for raving about a bread knife, but this is really a fantastic product. I love my breadmaker but never really considered that my previous knives meant I couldn’t slice the fresh bread properly. It was always left in big hacked chunks and I thought nothIng of it, assuming that was just inevitable with fresh bread. But this knife cuts like butter through the freshest bread, with the thinnest and most even slices. It was a bit of an investment at the price, whcich is why it lost a star, but I love it so much I bought a Robert Welch vegetable knife which is just as good. I just hope they both last and don’t need much sharpening as time passes.

I thought long and hard before spending this amount on a knife and I am so glad I did. I got fed up trying to cut bread with useless bread knives. This knife cuts through bread like butter. No sore hand, no shredded bread. This effortlessly cut through newly baked loaves to. I also use it for slicing other food. It is a very high quality knife that should last a life time. Came beautifully boxed so would also make a lovely gift. I will definitely purchase more.

So far so good! I'm loving Robert Welch knives so far, so much so I may build a collection. They feel well made, sharp and very comfortable to hold, as well as looking great.
